“Yeah, I’m confused myself,” Tim admitted.
“I mean, right now, the two of you are comfortable enough to call each other “babe” or something similar,” Ian explained.
“I still don’t see what the problem is,” he pointed out.
“Well, if things work out among the three of us and one of us called out a term of endearment, the other two would automatically respond.”
Tim and he grinned at each other. They hadn’t thought about that at all.
“We’ll cross the bridge when we come to it,” Tim stated as he clapped Ian’s shoulder.
Ian drove them back to the house and turned off the engine when he’d parked the car properly
“So…” Ian trailed off as he waited for the other two men to make the next move.
“Yeah…” Tim returned, equally lost and uncertain on how to proceed.
“Ian, you want to come inside for a drink?” he asked pointedly.
“Just a drink?” Ian countered immediately.
“Are you ready for more than just a drink? Are we?” Tim wondered as he looked at the other men inside the car.
