----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.
"Okay listen up you two. Arthur, you're going to stand and let him try to punch you. While he does that, you either block his punches or dodge them just like we did outside," Willam explained.
"Wait so I get to beat this kid up and you won't stop me?" the prisoner asked as he got an evil thought as he was far too excited to torture Arthur.
"Yup, that's exactly what I'm saying, good luck," said Willam.
"Oh I'm afraid that even luck won't save him," the prisoner said in a rather cocky tone.
"My apologies, perhaps I should have made this more clear but you're the one I'm wishing luck to," Willam said as the prisoner began to attack Arthur.
Right after the first punch was launched, Arthur instantly moved out of the way as if it was nothing and even turned back to look at Willam as if what he was doing was helpful in the least. Even while facing Willam, Arthur was easily able to dodge the attacks of the prisoner as he didn't even need to see the attacks that were coming at him as they were far too slow and predictable for Arthur.
After nearly 20 straight minutes of this going on, the prisoner grew tired of exhausting himself with no accomplishment and as such gave up and sat on the ground.
"I guess you have some pretty nice reflexes. Even so, it's not like you could actually hurt me-" the prisoner began to speak before Arthur quickly cut him off as he brought his fist right in front of the prisoners face before stopping it right before it crushed his face. Even so, the air pressure alone that was caused by the movement speed of Arthur's fist was enough to cause the prisoner's nose to break and start bleeding uncontrollably.
Seeing this, Willam gave Arthur a light tap on the shoulder before the two left the cell however before they returned to their own cell, Willam said some final words to the prisoner.
"I'll leave this cell open, if you try to escape, you're going to die," said Willam before the two of them returned to their own cell. This was a form of torture as he presented the prisoner with freedom right in front of him however if he tried to take that gift, he would have been killed.
As such, even though his cell was wide open and he could have escaped, the prisoner did not dare to disobey Willam's orders as he knew what kind of monster he was dealing with. He preferred to stay put in his cell rather than face the wrath of either one of the monsters he was greeted by.
…
"So Willam, why did you make me go through that? We wasted a good 20 minutes for no reason," said Arthur in a tired tone.
"Well, you see, against me, you can't see how much progress you've actually made since the way I attack is so smooth and quick and that's because I spent years perfecting the way I fight. You simply can't master that in a few days. However I wanted to show you just how strong you are against other opponents. For the time being you should be happy at the level you've gotten to. However there is still much training for you to do and I'll be happy to teach you if you ever want to learn. Even so, I believe that you'll be leaving this place soon which would explain why you were in a rush to train so much," said Willam with a smile.
"Hey Willam, thank you for all you've done for me. Even so, I would like to ask you for a favour, do you mind leaving this place with me and training me elsewhere?" Arthur asked.
"Huh? To be perfectly honest with you I really like this place you know. If I'm here, there won't be people looking all around for me since I'm a wanted criminal. If they know I'm in here, they can rest easy even though I can leave this place whenever I want. You see, this is my home now," said Willam with a sad smile.
"I understand that, even so, don't you think you deserve a little vacation every once in a while. After all, you've been here for so long, how about you see what the outside world looks like. More over, the place that I'll be training is on top of a floating island so you won't have to worry about anyone chasing you. Please just train me," Arthur pleaded to which Willam could no longer refuse and as such agreed to go along with Arthur and the two of them left their and walked out of the prison as if it was a normal think to do. The officers there allowed them to do so too since Willam basically owned the place.
"Don't worry too much, I'll be back soon so just hang tight," said Willam to the guards as he left the place. The thing was that more than even the guards, Willam was the one who kept the prisoners in line. Without him, the guards would have had quite a lot of trouble dealing with the prisoners there. Even so, the prisoners knew that Willam would return and anyone who dared to do anything to anger him would face the consequences of their actions. Due to that, they decided to behave as they normally did even if he was not there.
…
"So where exactly are we going?" Willam asked to which Arthur simply placed his palm on William's shoulder and teleported the two of them back to the festival area. More specifically, the place that Yosel was waiting for him at, that being the colosseum.
"Man, what's taking him so long?" Yosel said out loud right as Arthur teleported right in front of him.
"I'm back!" Arthur yelled out as if he was back from a field trip.
"What took you so long?! I had to pay a lot of money to make sure that the contest would be paused until you returned. Now I won't have to lose so much money on you," said Yosel as he yelled at Arthur in anger while Arthur simply stood there confused at what he did wrong.
"Yosel? Is that really you?" Willam asked with a shocked expression on his face.
