Conqueror of Magic

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.

"Wow, that was the last thing I could have expected, thank you so much," said Arthur to which Betty nodded before continuing to teach Arthur. For the first time, Arthur was not terrifying his teacher by how quickly he was able to adapt to the teaching styles of his teachers. Although that was just was it seemed like from the outside. In reality, Arthur was asking too many questions which he shouldn't have been able to as Betty was teaching so fast that his brain should have taken the information and sat with it before absorbing it. However Arthur had turned into a sponge for information as he was able to absorb all of the information he was given and absorb it at the moment he heard it. Without even giving Betty a chance to rest, he asked thought provoking questions which over time were exhausting Betty however she needed to set an example and as such tried to remain as calm as possible. This continued for the rest of the class until Egris once again stepped in to save the teacher and lead Arthur to another teacher to exhaust for the day.

"Come on Arthur, it's time to leave," said Egris to which Arthur seemed rather sad that he had to leave the class. Even so, Arthur thanked Betty before the two of them left.

"So what did you think about that class?" Egris asked to which Arthur once again replied with a smile.

"That's such an amazing class with a remarkable teacher. I can't believe that she'll be teaching me for the rest of the year. If I had the choice, I would like her to be my teacher for the entire day teaching me about potions all day," said Arthur with a smile which Betty overheard which caused her to have a small heart attack.

"So where are we going now," said Arthur to which Egris looked confused.

"Don't you know, it's lunch time now. You should head over to the cafeteria. It shouldn't be too hard to find since all the students will soon leave their classrooms to head there. Just follow them and you'll be fine," said Egris.

"Don't worry about what you'll be getting, I already spoke to the lunch ladies there, you can eat whatever you want from there or you can just tell them what you want and they'll have it for you there tomorrow," said Egris to which Arthur nodded but looked uncomfortable as he didn't want to interact with the other students. Specially with the memories he had from his previous school, Arthur preferred to stay alone and not be bothered by anyone.

"Don't worry, they're not going to hurt you," said Egris while giving Arthur a gentle push forward as the bell rang and allowed all the students to rush to the cafeteria. It was as if Arthur was watching a bunch of bulls sprint as fast as they could. Seeing as he didn't want to get stomped by them, Arthur simply used a spell to make himself walk upside down to which he used to follow the students to the cafeteria before once again getting back to the ground which he was used to walking on instead of the ceiling.

Just as Arthur dropped down from the ceiling, everyone instantly turned their attention on him as they were all wondering what happened to him. Even so, no one said a word to him as they didn't know what to think of him. Their first interaction with him wasn't the best one as they all tried to kill him while he simply looked bored as he took them all on and won without a single scratch on his body.

"Oh my, sir Arthur, please follow me," said a gentle lady that seemed to have been waiting for him. Even though he didn't know who she was, Arthur still followed her as he had no reason to be scared of anyone.

The two walked past all of the people that were in line and she placed him at the front.

"What the hell is this?! So he just gets special treatment because he's the student of the general?!" the kid that was in the very front said in an annoyed voice.

"Yes, that's exactly why he gets this treatment. If you were worthy of being the general's student, you would get this treatment as well," said the lunch lady that had taken Arthur to the front. Even if the students that were trained to be part of Juno's army were stronger than her, she had no reason to fear anyone as Egris was in the school. Even if he wasn't, there were the other teachers as well who were more than capable of apprehending the students and disciplining them accordingly.

"Now Arthur, go ahead and get whatever you would like," said the lunch lady and Arthur did just that before getting a plate and heading off to an empty lunch table to eat without having anyone bother him. As such, that was what everyone had done. No one wanted to interact with someone that could beat everyone to a bloody pulp in an instant so they simply avoided him. It wasn't like Arthur minded at all either since he was just happy with the way things were. However all good things must come to an end and that was exactly what took place next.

"Heyyy! You're Arthur right? You're so cool, mind if I sit next to you," said one of the students from the school. Even though Arthur attended the school at the age of 16, everyone else were in their 20s.

"Sure, help yourself," said Arthur as he didn't want to cause a scene.

"So tell me Arthur, how does it feel to be the favourite of the general? To live in luxury, to have all the teachers there to personally teach you and be the favourite weapon of the entire country. You have the opportunity to become the greatest hero in this country, so tell me, how does that feel?" the student asked to which his group of friends began to sit beside Arthur as they tried to get close to him. Of course this was all for their own benefit and Arthur knew full well of this.
