Conqueror of Magic

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.

Memories

"No way, is that really you Willam? I can't believe my eyes. How did you get here?" Yosel asked while on the verge of tears.

"So I'm guessing you two know each other?" Arthur asked.

"Not just know each other, we grew up and lived together until a few years ago," said Yosel before embracing Willam in his arms.

"So you guys are brothers?" Arthur questioned.

"Well, yes we see each other as brothers even though we're not biologically related," Willam replied.

"So why exactly did you two go your separate ways a few years ago?" Arthur asked.

"Well, we were both candidates to become the inspector for the council of sorcery since the previous one had died on a mission. Yosel ended up getting selected and as such became a lot busier. As for me, I lost purpose and got into some pretty nasty stuff until I didn't want to be in the outside world since I was causing trouble for Yosel since he tried to cover up my crimes. As such, I went to that prison and spent my life there until you asked me to get out of there," Willam explained.

"Wait is that why you disappeared without saying a word? I thought you left because you were angry at me for not spending time together like the old times," Yosel said rather frustrated.

"Ya…" Willam replied awkwardly.

"All these years went to waste because of that. You realize that the world is much more corrupt than you realize right? If I wanted to, I could pin the blame on someone else. Even with full video evidence of you committing a crime, I could have asked someone to act as a doppelganger and have them take blame for your actions. In this world, crime can be hidden so easily that it's stupid for anyone to think that they're safe. That's why I'm so angry about your reasoning for leaving," said Yosel as he had tears in his eyes as he had lost so many years with his brother for a stupid reason.

"Even so, I wasn't a good person to be around. I'm actually glad I spent some years in that prison. I've straightened myself out and now I can proudly say that I'm a responsible man," said Willam.

"Anyway, how's being the inspector going for you?" Willam asked to which Yosel began to cough in surprise as he remembered what he had done.

"Well, you see, I think I won't be the inspector for much longer," said Yosel as he let out a laugh.

"Huh?! Why the hell not?! You worked so hard for that position, it's not like you to give something up so easily," Willam asked as he demanded to know why caused the sudden change in his brother.

"You see Willam, there's no point in being the inspector anymore. A new era is coming. I want to be a part of that instead of this one," said Yosel to which Willam looked more confused than ever.

"What are you talking about?! Did you consume narcotics or something?" Willam asked.

"No, not at all, you see Arthur here, he's actually much stronger than he looks," said Yosel with a grin on his face.

"I already know that, even so, he'll need at least a couple of years before he can reach your level of strength right? Maybe months if you push him far enough," said Willam as he felt like taking back the statement he made about it taking Arthur only months however his beliefs would soon be demolished.

"You see Willam, Arthur is actually far stronger than both you and I. Even if that strength isn't his-" Yosel began to speak before Arthur quickly placed his palm on Yosel's mouth to stop him from talking.

"Huh? What do you mean the strength is not his?" said Willam in a confused tone.

"No no, what he meant is that I have the potential to surpass both you and him, not that I'm already stronger than you two," said Arthur with an awkward giggle before the announcer came to the seating area to see that Arthur had returned to which he began to scream at the top of his lungs before rushing to the microphone to announce that the competition to dictate the strongest person in the country was going to continue once more.

"Well, I guess that decides that. Let's go and get a quieter place to talk, Arthur, you should stay here and wait for your turn. Maybe you'll learn a thing or two about your opponents by watching them as well," said Yosel as he began to walk away with Willam so that they could catch up.

"Hold up!" Arthur yelled as he rushed to quickly grab Yosel and pulled him aside to talk to him privately.

"Try not to talk about me too much of you might accidentally tel him about where my strength comes from again," said Arthur in an annoyed voice before letting the two go off o their own.

As for Arthur, he sat down at his seat and watched the matches play out until it was finally his turn again.

His opponent this time was right around the same age as him. They were even the same height however the kid seemed terrified to face Arthur and Arthur didn't know why.

The two of them just stood there as they stared at each other as Arthur's opponent was not making a single move.

"Hey, are you going to attack me any time soon?" Arthur asked to which the kid almost broke down.

"Hey did you by any chance attend a school by the name of 'King's Royal Sorcery'?" the kid asked to which Arthur finally realized what was going on.

"Yes, I did but I didn't go outside a lot. Even so, I'm sure you've heard quite a lot about me. Seeing as how terrified you are of me, I'm assuming you know what I'm capable of," said Arthur with a sigh as he thought that his opponent would give up quickly due to what Arthur had done to his school.
