The Most Optimal Path
After the book's promise was made, it closed and fell into his lap with an anti-climatic thud.
The counselor let out a soft laugh as she raised her brow and her hand. The book flew from his lap and into her grasp. Setting it aside, she leaned forward as her eyes gleamed with excitement.
"I know exactly which classes you want, Kai."
This took Kai aback. He didn't even know what classes were offered, so how could she know? Shouldn't they look over the classes together and pick the best ones that way?
Though it was her job to do this...
He just didn't like his fate being decided by someone else.
"No worries, Kai. No one but you chose these classes. You see, there are 5 rooms but only 1 true counselor. Me. And that's purely due to my divinity."
