Walk

The next day at work, Xue got to the office and she had Du with her. She had not spoken to Ren through out the night. The person that shared in Ren's sins was in her office. Xue had not been able to believe what Ren had told her but she knew that that was just her being in denial.

Li Cei stepped into the office about twenty mintires after Xue Jing had entered. She noticed how lost and deep in thoughts Xue was and her brows creased. She glanced to the side, and on one of the chairs in the office sat Xue's beautiful little girl with eyes that were mysterious. She had met Du about twice when Xue would bring her to the office and that was what she had always thought about the little girl — mysterious.

But Li Cei wondered why Du was not in school at that moment.

"Why is she not in school, Xue?" She asked as she dropped her bags on her desk and began to take off her jacket.

"And are you alright?" She asked. Her voice dropped with concern and worry.
