Collection of My Drafts

Hello everyone. Here's a collection of my unfinished drafts, chapters I for some reason, fail to come up with a good follow-up. Why publish them? Because I figured that the time I took to write them would at least serve a purpose other than to help me with my written English. Why read a bunch of chapters without follow-up? Well, that's a good question. I can understand that reading something without a story behind it is frustrating but I do it first and foremost to try to figure out why exactly I cannot be satisfied with my work. Who knows? Perhaps if you guys give me enough advice and particularly like one of the ideas I exposed, I could try writing it for real. Anyway, I'm exposed to criticism and would like to hear your guys' opinions on those chapters. By the way, if one of y'all wants to write his own story inspired by one of the chapters they are free to do so. However, the last thing I want to see is copy/paste of those chapters. After all, it is still stealing intellectual property. If you guys see my chapters on another website, it isn't me, and would like to hear about it. I have hundreds of drafts to publish, but won't do it all in the same day. Put the book in your collection to stay tuned in.

Chapter 1 - Pokemon (1)

Waking up, the young boy stretched on his bed before jumping out of it.

Making sure to properly tidy the bed, since it was the last time he would sleep on it for a while, he wasted no time to go take a shower.

Minutes later, he came out of it more awake than ever, and more importantly, clean.

The black-haired young man combed back his hair before he opened his windows wide, letting the pleasant warm air that accompanied the first sunrays of dawn kiss his tanned skin.

"Kanto's temperature is not that bad." The boy mused, buttoning on his shirt.

A few months ago, Alexander and his mother moved from Alola to Kanto for her work.

As a researcher in Pokedex technology, Martha Light has been quite interested in a collaboration with the legendary creator of the said machine she dreams to upgrade so much that it will reveal even more of the mysteries that surround Pokemons.

Though she participated in the creation of the RotomDex, at that time she was only an assistant.

Thus, with the fund she received when the RotomDex was completed and put on the market, she decided to seek the improvement of the technology.

Choosing to return to the very origin of the Pokedex, she asked to work with Professor Oak himself for now, to which he accepted.

Slightly shaking his head, Lex focused back on his actions and put on his bucket hat.

Wearing black hiking shoes, white shorts, and a floral shirt screaming 'Alolan', Lex took a step back to look at his room.

He did not live in this room for long, but it would be a lie to say that there was no feeling of familiarity within.

Though the feeling that it was his last day in Pallet Town probably helped with the melancholy.

"I worked hard for that." The young man reminded himself, thinking back about the countless night of studying Pokemons and everything related to adventuring.

It earned him the spot of the 1st student back in the League Pokemon of Alola, giving him several perks that would surely help for his adventure.

Crouching down to verify his travel bag items took him several minutes.

The backpack is a spatial one, bigger inside than it looks like outside. These kinds of bags are usually extremely costly, but for the 1st students of each region, each year, they are free.

One of the best perks of the bag is that it keeps most of the items in the state they were stored in, and stayed light whatever item you put inside.

Of course, it is limited to the number of things stored but when you go on your Pokemon adventure, such a thing is insanely good.

Nodding at it once he verified that everything was in its place, Lex put the bag on his back before leaving the room.

Walking down the stairs, his body was immediately brought into a warm hug from a woman he knew more than anyone else.

"My baby grew up so quickly..." Martha Light, shed some tears, happy to see that her son grew into such a fine gentleman.

She can remember the day she held him into her arms for the first time, 17 years ago as if it was yesterday.

His clear blue eyes met her own while he energetically giggled.

"Mom, if you keep me in your arms I will have a harder time leaving you know?" Lex complained, though his warm expression and the way he returned the hug did not seem to be compatible with his words.

"I know, baby." Martha sighed, breaking the hug albeit with some reluctance.

"Let's have some breakfast first, and I have a gift for you." She revealed, moving toward the kitchen.

Smiling happily at her words, Lex complied and followed after her.

The breakfast was neither too heavy nor too light, just enough for him to have the necessary energy to be active until lunch.

"It was excellent, Mom." Lex complimented her, to which she replied with happiness.

"Thanks, sugar."

Taking a Pokeball from her waist, she let out the Pokemon within.

"Voooir!" Her Gardevoir exclaimed, leaving the Pokeball and stretching just after.

The Gardevoir's eyes fell upon Lex after which she happily floated toward him.

"Vooir." She lowered her head, enough for him to pat her.

"Good morning to you too, Gardevoir." He replied to her greeting, making her spin on herself with joy before she return to Martha's side.

"Gardevoir, can you bring me the thing I showed you yesterday?" The woman asked, to which Gardevoir nodded before she floated out of the room.

"Is it the gift you were talking about?" Lex asked, raising an eyebrow.

The question only earned him an enigmatic smile and few words.

"You'll see."

Fortunately for him, Lex did not have to wait for much longer before Gardevoir came back with an object floating alongside her.

"Is that...?" Alexander began to ask before he felt his heart beat even faster.

Martha stood up too, taking the incubator in her hand.

The countdown was now down to less than two minutes.

"I never told you until now, but... Our family has the tradition to give our children their first Pokemon when they decide to go on their first Pokemon adventure.

Don't worry about which Pokemon it is, as it is one of your favorites, and it has been bred by one of the best Pokemon breeders in the world!" She said, holding out the incubator to him.

Filled with emotions, Alexander let a few tears out before taking the incubator in his arms.

"Thanks, Mom! I will take great care of it." Lex declared, feeling the egg's movement in the incubator.

The countdown ended with a 'beep' from the machine letting the future Pokemon trainer know that it is time to meet his new ace.

Martha and Gardevoir both moved back, letting Lex crouch down to set down the incubator.

Pushing the opening button of the machine, it opened less than a second later with some steam accompanying the process, the difference in temperature within the incubation box and the house being more than obvious.

The bluish egg shook a few times before several cracks began to appear on its surface.

Soon, a blinding light completely encompassed the egg, forcing the two humans to shield their eyes while the mysterious event that accompanies each Pokemon egg's hatching took place.

"It's a-!" Alexander's smile threatened to split his face in half as the cry of a Pokemon he loved echoed.

"Bel... dum!"

The dual type roared before levitating off the ground.

Its red eye shone brightly before the metallic Pokemon happily floated around the human he now recognized as his trainer.

"Dum! Dum! Dum!"

Smiling brightly, Alexander extended his hands to the iron ball Pokemon to which it answered by letting itself be held.

"Wanna explore the world together, Beldum?" The new trainer asked the pseudo-legendary to which it seemed to nod in happiness.

"Dum!"

"Nice. I will let you rest inside the Pokeball for now. Don't worry, it is filled with food and toys." Alexander informed the Pokemon, as he took from the Pokeball pocket of his bag, a black and gold Pokeball.

Luxury Balls are expensive but when it comes to the pleasure of his Pokemon, Alexander disregards the cost of such things.

"Dum! Dum!" The Pokemon nodded, lightly headbutting the Pokeball.

A light enveloped him, sucking his body inside the comfort of the ball.

"Congratulations on your first Pokemon caught, sugar!" Martha exclaimed, clapping on the side.

"Thanks, Mom. I am dying to register him in my name." Alexander said, clipping his first Pokemon to his waist where the magnetic belt that trainers often have rested.

"Oh! Before you leave for Viridian City for your Pokemon League rewards, Professor Oak asked to see you today...

And here before I forget... Even though it is not linked to your Pokemon Identity yet." She said, handing him his Rotom Pokedex.

Taking the Pokemon-transformed Pokedex in his hand, the young man raised an eyebrow.

"Weren't I supposed to receive it from the Pokemon League?" He asked, fiddling with the accessory for a few seconds.

"Normally yes, but I received the accord from the Pokemon League of Alola to give you one. Though you still have to go register as a new trainer in one of the Pokemon League buildings and receive your license."

Nodding once more, Alexander took the sole Pokeball at his waist to scan it with his new Pokedex.

"Yeah, I'll do that once in Viridian City. Rotom, can you scan Beldum's Pokeball please?"

Silently obeying his new owner, the Rotom scanned the Pokeball before enlarging itself to show the Steel/Psy Pokemon's stats.

The mother walked to her son's side, curious of the quite costly Pokemon too while Gardevoir followed closely behind, not wanting to be left out.

"... Wow." The mother-son duo quietly expressed their shock, looking at the insane move pool known by the freshly hatched Pokemon.

"No wonder the egg costed so much." Martha said, impressed by the Pokemon's potential.

The mastery ranks of moves were divided into three branches: Beginner [B], Adept [A], and Mastered [M].

There is a fourth branch known as Learned [-], which means that while the Pokemon can use it, it can't properly control it and is certainly not usable in a real fight unless some cases such as low-level fight were every hit are relatively slow.

Only the best Pokemon breeders could not only breed a Pokemon with several moves but also make the bred Pokemon retain the innate knowledge about how well to use these moves from the parents.

Of course, the sheer potential of the pseudo-legendary is responsible for a great deal of these insane results.

Feeling his face morph into the most excited expression he ever had.

"Let's do this."
