Collection of My Drafts

Hello everyone. Here's a collection of my unfinished drafts, chapters I for some reason, fail to come up with a good follow-up. Why publish them? Because I figured that the time I took to write them would at least serve a purpose other than to help me with my written English. Why read a bunch of chapters without follow-up? Well, that's a good question. I can understand that reading something without a story behind it is frustrating but I do it first and foremost to try to figure out why exactly I cannot be satisfied with my work. Who knows? Perhaps if you guys give me enough advice and particularly like one of the ideas I exposed, I could try writing it for real. Anyway, I'm exposed to criticism and would like to hear your guys' opinions on those chapters. By the way, if one of y'all wants to write his own story inspired by one of the chapters they are free to do so. However, the last thing I want to see is copy/paste of those chapters. After all, it is still stealing intellectual property. If you guys see my chapters on another website, it isn't me, and would like to hear about it. I have hundreds of drafts to publish, but won't do it all in the same day. Put the book in your collection to stay tuned in.

Chapter 1 - Multiverse (1)

"Congratulation. You destroyed your very universe." An ethereal voice echoed throughout the seeming space.

Despite its words, the frightening sentence seemed to be nothing more than a casual statement from the way he apathetically stated it.

However, his words were utterly ignored by the soul in front of him as its attention was focused on something else entirely.

"It was beautiful." An equally ethereal voice echoed, ignoring the first one.

This one, however, lacked the majesty and powerfulness that brimmed through every word. It was seemingly entranced by something far, far greater than the impossibilities of the realm where the two entities reside.

"..."

The higher entity could not help but observe the reaction of the soul with slight curiosity.

It was an anomaly.

Something that should not have been possible but... here it is.

To satisfy his infinite boredom, he made universes. Billion and billion of them.

From time to time, he pulls some inhabitants and sends them through the reincarnation cycle of another universe.

Sometimes with some power, to be sure that the show that is their lives would not be too short-lived.

One of his favorite versions of the blue planet, Earth had humans.

However, compared to its other versions, this one lacked anything close to divertissement.

Thus, every human was insanely focused on advancing through technological advancement that they were extremely hard to differentiate from mere artificial intelligence. The occasional emotions that they showed were few and extremely twisted.

He was interested in this universe as they were extremely close to the end of their potential. They reached it. He was ready to end the cycle and begin anew when he noticed the anomaly and its... greater plans.

Plans that were so otherworldly cruel and sadistic that one could not associate them with anything that does not dwell in the infamous Lovecraft Universes.

Its potential was so high that in its very first years, it developed technologies past anything that its fellow humans made.

However, He could feel it.

The very moment it understood the truth.

Humans were not meant to go past this point.

While it certainly could, the very thought that they reached the predestined end to anything that was accomplished so far, to all lives present and future.

It understood the way life functioned.

An infinite cycle.

They did not stop evolving, going farther and further into the mysteries of science.

All for what?

Their pathetic resurrection was naught in the face of oblivion.

Their stars-shattering cannons were useless against their worst enemy.

Stagnation.

Ô how it hated stagnation.

Similarly to it, the higher entity observing their journey too hated stagnation.

Or was it simply how He enjoyed himself?

Its questions could not be answered and so, it ignored them. The reality was often disappointing if not downright cruel.

There was a limit to what they could know.

A limit to what they could create.

A limit to what they could observe.

As they reached the final line, the end of their universe, a thought kept the young soul moving despite the seething hatred toward what they had become threatening to swallow it to the pits of despair.

It could not stop here and there. Even though its fellow humans were enjoying their superiority over the mere braindead creatures they amused themselves to conquer and lead to greater but insignificant highs. It could not stop. Not yet.

Not when it was far from satisfying his thirst for knowledge.

No. If it quest for knowledge ends there...

Everything else may as well end.

Why?

Because stagnation is worse than anything else.

Every single soul destroyed because of its actions should apologize to it.

For, they were liberated from this eternal curse that silently seep through their soul.

With this greater idea in mind, it hasted.

Afraid of being affected by the natural effect of stagnating, it mobilized all its capabilities and resources.

Creating a supermassive black hole would not be enough.

Not nearly enough.

It needed something more. Something like... The Big-Bang.

And so he did.

He recreated it.

Or more like..., he unmade it.

It was not looking to create a universe.

It wanted to END it.

What is more poetic than ending something with the very thing that created it?

The reverse Big-Bang.

The Bang-Big.

Apocalypse.

The recreation of a fraction of the All-Mighty's power... with mortal technology.

The higher-being was impressed.

While others of His class would have been insulted by the crude recreation.

He was flattered.

After all, imitation is the best flattery.

"It certainly was." He answered after some time, noting that the soul's attention was now on him.

Long gone was the wonder it exuded for the very thing he recreated.

"My presence in this place is... unexpected. A higher entity such as yourself must have reached the pits of boredom if you are willing to play with a filthy mortal such as me." It stated, carefully choosing its words and phrasing.

Its mind was running in high gear as it tried to make sense of the situation.

"You are an anomaly. I simply am amused by your existence and thus decided to send you on a journey. Consider it atonement to have destroyed one of my favorite playthings." He declared, its powerful voices leaving no room for refusal.

As if it would have refused.

It is better than not to be.

"A journey... Do I become one of your playthings too then?" It carefully asked.

It did not matter much. He was outmatching him and resisting would be stupid and useless.

Both things were unacceptable in his mind.

"You always have been." The voice echoed once again its tone still unchanged. "The universes you will find yourself in are different from your old one. I will also grant you a special ability to give you an edge on your adventure. It would be a waste to have you die on your first world."

"My first world... I suppose that I will have different objectives to accomplish? Or am I supposed to destroy the universe first?"

His second question was not much of a question. The idea was ridiculous and it would be an immense waste to always destroy a universe only to have access to another.

"The tasks will be sent the moment you reach your destination."He raised its hand or an appendage resembling it however his lack of feature or any distinctive feature made the identification of anything he does quite the hassle.

"I will grant you the {Crafting} Ability. With a mind as great as yours you should be able to reach these pretentious beings calling themselves gods in no time."

Dismissively waving his hands, the soul vanished from the place before any question could be asked.

"Be a great entertainment, ô my Champion... Apollyon."
