Chapter 6 My Parents Secret

I stared at my mom in disbelief,

"What do you mean we aren't human?"

My mom looked like her whole world was spinning.

"Lizzy me and your father kept everything from you and your brother because we just wanted to keep you safe and we wanted to live a normal life".

She paused a moment and continued,

"I am a werewolf, and your father was a warlock".

My eyes widened,

"So what does that make me and David mom???"

"You guys are were-witches" my mom said.

I was so in shock and I'm not sure if I really believed her because I figured if I was a witch or a werewolf? Wouldn't I have turned by now? Wouldn't I have accidentally did some magic not knowingly?

But then the vampire. It has to be real. I SAW IT. I kept rubbing my eyes making sure I wasn't dreaming. I was indeed NOT dreaming.

"I know what your thinking Lizzy.. where are these powers? How come you never known any clues. How did I hide them from you guys for so long..."

I shook my head yes. I needed to know because I was tired of feeling hopeless, I have had all this power and never knew.

My mother continued,

"Your dad did a spell to make your powers dormant. So you couldn't do any magic, or transform into your wolf, same for your brother."

"Can the spell be undone ???" I asked worryingly.

"Yes but I got to find another witch or warlock" she replied.

The hope came back to me.

"So where can we find one?"I asked.

"None of your concern Lizzy. And you won't be looking for one either, it's dangerous for you so just don't, I WILL handle this"

"How is it dangerous mom??? If dad is from here aren't his parents witches and warlocks!?!??? My grandparents??? Wouldn't they help!?!? Won't it save David from his coma!? What about your parents mom!??"

My mother looked down and her face was full of shame.

"They won't be able to help us and they won't liz...that's all you need to know about them"

"No mom!!!! You're done hiding things from me I need to know why am I in danger why won't they help? What don't you wanna tell me!?!? Mom you owe me!!! You owe David he got attacked by a vampire and you tried to tell me they didn't exist but they do don't they!?"

She said "yes... they are real. All the supernatural are real."

"You didn't answer my other questions mom"

She sighed "fine I will tell you"

Well she was gonna tell me until the nurse came in.

"Good afternoon ladies, the doc sent me in here to tell you guys to go ahead and head home and get some rest, we assure you David is in great hands here"

My mom looked at her and agreed. We have been here for two whole days, and David wasn't showing any signs of coming out of his coma. I guess it was time to go home and just pray David would eventually wake. We kissed David's cheeks and walked out. We did need a break from the hospital I'm sure we were stinking and I was so tired of hospital food. The only good thing they had was Coffee.

Once we got in the car I was about to ask mom to finish what we were talking about and before I could my mom told me,

"I'll explain more once we get home"

So we sat in silence the whole car ride home.
