the reason i even told my dear sister to host the tournament was pearly for my entertainment as i did like to see good battles however only when im not commanding them because then i dont have to pay attention to the position of every soldier in my command as i wanted as many to survive as possible and i almost always get all of them to survive i have a pretty good record although half the time i am on the battle field myself as i am still building up the phoenix legion my personal army by the time lelouch takes the throne i plan to have an army big enough to take on schneizel and the black knights completely by themselves and win when the time came i have already designed a grunt machine based heavily on the strike gundam so quite a few parts were interchangeable depending on your fighting style i also made sure that the Gefjun Disturber did absolutely nothing to my machines by making a completely different power source based off of dilithium crystals as god gave me an infinite supply for my starship i dont think he realized i can make those crystals multitask and be a power source for my knightmare frames i am naming the percutiens or strike in Latin i then put that on a shelf for the future as i wanted to wait until the black rebellion began before building them and sending them to my underwater hanger near my starship that fortunately no one besides me knows about and i intend to keep it that way until im certain my subordinates are loyal to me and only me

as i was watching one particular knightmare slaughtered its way through the competition and not wasting any time which is what i was looking for i walked my way to the judges booth to speak to my dear sister

"who's piloting that knightmare" i asked she looked disgusted

"an eleven woman" she said which really peaked my interest i had a guard prepare a sutherland for my personal use and put it on standby and i told my dear sister when the finals conclude if this eleven wins i will personally test her as i am intrigued at her ability she looked at me shocked as i rarely was intrigued by a pilot even she didn't catch my eye if i was interested than this eleven had talent the semi finals soon came and the victor went straight to the eleven in record time too

i then went to the sutherland i asked for and activated it once online i entered the battlefield

"lets see what you can really do" i said and drew my rifle and threw it to the ground at exactly the proper place i than drew my Maser Vibration Sword that i personally upgraded by place a beam particle vents at the hilt which shoots the particles as well as an i-field to keep the shape effectively making a maser beam saber i named this weapon claymore however only two knightmares will have the claymore the Arthur and of course what ever my knights knightmare is named will also have one actually the claymore that i am using right now is being borrowed from the arther as i got into my

own battle stance that most called idiocy i waited for her to strike and she as expected was fast however rule number one you never charge someone who has a claymore in their hands and she lost an arm however the only way to end a battle is to either concede or to have your auto eject activated so the fight continued until eventually she got her hands on my claymore breaking the arm that was holding it and picked it up fortunately i planned for every eventuality and the ending of the battle she had a gun barrel at her cockpit i had a sword at mine and that battle was considered a draw which was good enough for me she reversed the sword in her knightmares hand and held out her knightmares hand for me to rise and i took it we both opened our cockpit and i jumped down

and walked over to her

"well done" i said and i was wearing a normal military suit so no one could recognize me the only one to know it was me fighting in the sutherland was cornelia who i told to stay out of the after the battle conversation i would have as i wanted to gauge her personality without being overly formal because of royalty

"what happens now im not sure what the prince will do for a draw"

"why do you want to be his knight anyway" i asked talking about myself as if i was another person

"well because of three reasons one i will be an eleven in power so i will be able to help my people two because it was due to his leadership that we were treated rather well and few of us were hunted down and three he saved my life i was two years ago he never showed his face but his emerald green knightmare protecting me filled my with hope" she said and i started laughing hysterically i was so dumb i thought

"well congratulations as you will be the knight" i said before rummaging for something

"are you dropping out" she asked slightly disappointed

"hm, i dont need to drop out i was never apart of this tournament i was your final test" i said which made her even more confused

"before i introduce myself i want your word that you will treat me as you just did while we talked" i said she nodded thinking he must be some noble

"i am Thomas zi Britannia and dub thee as my knight handing her the insignia of the phoenix legion"
