Zero managed to pass the long lance and got into the perfect range for his sword to hit Cornelia squarely in the torso.

Cornelia was startled by that though, but she had undergone strict and excellent training together with her relatively rich real combat experience that she manage to accumulate from all the military missions that she took upon herself.

She still managed to react by the virtue of all that.

She instinctively took out her backup melee weapon which is a sword too, though not the latest vibration sword like the one used by Lancelot LAV cause it is too much of an energy-consuming thing but it still is a vibration sword nonetheless.

This fast reaction from Cornelia surprised Lelouch a little, especially since he thought that this move of his is already the finishing move and as what was implied from earlier until now, Lelouch is more of a commander type of guy right now so he isn't truly that capable in terms of fighting in a Knightmare frame.

He had always been relying on his superior physique of almost being a coordinator.

He isn't one because the technology for gene adjustment wasn't available at the time, but he had undergone gene inducement or guidance so that when he was a fetus his growth was guided to be what he is today.

Together with his natural superior genes, he is now overall above average when compared even to the common above-average human.

But even with all that, he did not manage to prevent his sword to be thrown away because of Cornelia's parrying strike.

Thankfully, the sword wasn't fully fixed into the hand of his Knightmare frame so it did not truly damage the arm that held the sword and he had also not gotten out of balance.

Although he did pause a little bit to think of his next move which gave Cornelia enough time to do a follow-up slash with the same sword because Lelouch is still too close for the lance to be useful.

As Lelouch had already been thinking, this move just gave him an idea of what to do next.

He used his shield to slam into the coming sword strike which got the sword broken into two.

Then like a one-two combo punch, he took back his shield before slamming it again toward Cornelia's torso.

This move made Cornelia move back a few steps which gave enough time for Lelouch to take out his backup sword.

'As planned!' Lelouch thought with a bright smile.

But this much distance is enough for Cornelia to make use of her Lance again!

'Tsk! You are going to be skewered, Zero!' She thought irritatedly as she positioned her lance and aimed it at her opponent.

'Haa! I already knew that you would be able to use your favorite with this much distance, big sis Cornelia!

But I only gave you enough distance to 'barely' use it!

A lance could only truly show its might if you accumulate some momentum before you hit the target!

So now, with my shield, I would surely be able to parry it to the side and that's when I will deliver the final hit!' Lelouch thought carefully. 'This time, I wouldn't give you enough time to take out a backup weapon!'

He quickly got into a more solid stance just to make sure that he would surely be able to defend against the lance.

With a fierce shout, Cornelia dashed forward with as much speed and power as she could gather in this short distance. "Zero!"

Lelouch didn't shout at all as he did not need the momentum and bravery that came with that.

Instead, he stayed silent and focused even more as he needed to make sure that he would be parrying the lance excellently so that it wouldn't make him out of balance and also give him time for the final strike.

The four ladies were very tense as they watched the confrontation between Lelouch and Cornelia with held-up breaths.

A2 had already been prepared and he directly took out a device.

He then slammed his hand as if it was a buzzer in a game show which needs to be pressed down as quickly as possible.

This thing is very effective, evidenced by the fact that both Lelouch's and Cornelia's machines stopped directly after the button was pressed.

So, why did they stop, or more like, how?

It's with the assistance of Veda!

A2 had already infiltrated all the machines in the area which can be hacked and had made Veda on standby from the very start of this battle.

A2 and Veda are just waiting with great focus.

This move of A2 made the ladies breathe with a great sigh of relief.

Both Lelouch and Cornelia sighed in relief too but they are feeling more panicked right now because their machines were hacked!

The two of them paled as they quickly thought of all the bad things that could happen.

It's not only the two of them who were affected though.

Everyone on the battlefield was affected!

So everyone is pale from the realization that their machines were hacked but they all quickly realized that they weren't the only ones as they saw in their visuals that their opponents are also not moving like themselves which finally let everyone release their interrupted sigh of relief.

"Okay you two, you can stop already! You aren't enemies! Also, you both are good!

Though, you both are also in great trouble! Hehehe!
