I am unarmed!" Lelouch shouted while acting like a scared witless normal student while hiding.

Suzaku took this time, the rest while supporting herself by leaning on Lelouch with her head on his shoulder and an arm over the other.

Based on the greetings of the Britannian troops that they encountered, even she will be killed by them if she goes out so she did not have any thoughts about talking it out with the people outside.

She is even resting herself and starting to get focused as she knows that the two of them would have to take care of these people.

She expects Lelouch to fight it out together with her against these people.

Even though she is stronger than Lelouch, she knows that Lelouch can certainly fight.

He had been trained to do so as part of his royal education and when he was at the Kururugi household before.

And he surely did not stop training or at least exercising to maintain or improve his combat prowess because of his pride.

Hehehe...' Suzaku thought inwardly as she observe all the things that Lelouch is doing and guessed what he is planning to do.

"You say, you are a Britannian student?!

Then let my subordinate look at your ID!

Do not do anything I do not want to see or you'll surely be turned into a sieve." the squad commander said as he signaled to one of his subordinates to go closer to Lelouch's location but instead of signaling for the soldier to do the inspection honestly, he signaled for the guy to kill the 'student'.

The whole stairway is facing sideways from the squadron and the soldier got closer from the side as he thought about looking from above the stairs instead from the front as he was tasked with killing the 'helpless and unarmed student' after all.

But Lelouch had thought of that already in his plan B.

In plan A, if the guy had come from the opening of the stairs instead of the side top, it would have meant that they at least thought about confirming if he is honestly a Britannian student, but they didn't.

The soldier came to look from the top side of the stairs meant that these people firmly wanted to kill him.

Thankfully, they did not see Suzaku and she did not bother taking it out with these guys.

'At least, she is not that stupid.' Lelouch thought with a sigh of relief as he prepared for what he had planned.

Just as he heard the guy coming very close to their position.

He then jump up a little then took hold of the soldier's leg before pulling it down the stairs without saying anything.

The view from the squadron's perspective is very different from when they saw it happen.

Especially when the arm that pulled their comrade is a bit pale.

It felt creepy and something out of a horror movie, at least some of the soldiers thought so.

They then thought, what if this is a ghost of a student who is vengeful because of being killed here?!

They got cold sweats.

"Fcking shit! You are not a student at all! Surround him!" The captain shouted and ordered his subordinates.

This shook the soldiers, that were scaring themselves, out of their playful imaginations.

Lelouch, though, hurriedly took off the bulletproof vest of the soldier and the helmet to wear for himself after killing the guy.

Although it was the first time that he killed someone, it did not bother him because of the adrenaline and the urgent situation that they are in, especially since he felt that he should protect the 'helpless' girl beside him.

He then equipped every weapon he could quickly find from the guy in just a few seconds.

He is using his ears to estimate where the enemies are positioned as he did all this.

And as the enemies are forming a semi-circle from the opposite side where the stair's opening is facing.

He knew that they are quite close, if they leaned a little, they would be able to take a look at the situation on the stairs a little, and they would even be able to see his head.

So, he looked at Suzaku face to face as if to convey something, before nodding at her as he knows that she would certainly join in the fight and even get angry with him if he treats her like a fragile vase.

They then lunged in a short-range, upward the stairs while also spinning a hundred and eighty degrees to face the people who are coming from the back.

Their lunge's positioning is just enough for them to see the upper bodies of every enemy, who are startled by the sudden movement.

It gave the two of them enough time to aim properly and fire at the enemy.

*Bratatata!

Some of the enemies were hit and the head and died quickly while some were only hit in their bulletproof vests, and a few people were hit in other unprotected parts of their body, injuring them enough to make them forget about taking action for a few seconds more.

Only less than half of the squadron came to circle them up though, so there are still a few enemies unscathed, and this time, they are more prepared and cautious, as they finally saw that Lelouch is not alone.

Some of the closest enemies to the stairs fell in, and that is what Lelouch wanted to happen, this is why he waited for the enemies to get closer before taking action again.

He wanted more weapons and ammunition.

After that movement though, Suzaku felt more pain from her wound and it even started to bleed again.

Lelouch saw that, so he did not bother thinking about allowing her to join in his further actions again.

Because of being a semi-coordinator, Lelouch has a stronger body than his original anime version.

So, he took another SMG from one of the soldiers that fell on the stairs, he did not bother taking out the people that survive after their ambush, they should be a little bit incapacitated right now.

Even if they are only hit in the bulletproof vest, the impact from being shot would still make them breathless or disorientated.

Lelouch then took a deep breath again as he prepared himself before taking action by himself this time around.
