At the entrance to the student council office…
There was a knock on the door.
"You may come in."
After the invitation from the inside, Ying Ye Zhenshi opened the office door and entered the room.
The first thing to catch his eye was the student council president he had seen at the gymnasium earlier.
'His name, if I remember correctly, is Horikita Manabu. I wonder if he has anything to do with that Horikita Suzune from before.'
Ying Ye Zhenshi didn't bother minding his thoughts and guessed whether or not his classmate was related to the man in front of him.
"Aren't you a first year? What business do you have with the student council?"
Sitting at the desk, Horikita Manabu pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and asked.
It was rare for freshmen to visit the student council on their first day at this school.
Most people who had received huge wealth would choose to squander it from day 1.
"Student Council President Senpai, I have some questions I would like to ask. And I also wanted to report some student's behavioural problems."
Ying Ye Zhenshi called him by the lengthy title and then stated his purpose.
"What? You want to report a classmate?"
It was normal for one to have questions.
But was he going to backstab his classmates on the first day?
Or did he have a problem with students from the other years?
Horikita was a little surprised.
"That's right, I wanted to ask the student council president senpai whether the points we get every month as freshmen, that is the 100,000 points, are related in any way to our daily behaviour or performance? For example, if our behaviour is not good, will our points be deducted? Another thing, are we now at 1,000 evaluation points, and is that why we have received 100,000 points too? So as long as we have less than 1,000 evaluation points, will the subsequent number of points we receive also be reduced? The ratio of evaluation points to the points we receive would then be one to one hundred or something like that."
Whether Horikita Manabu was listening or not, Ying Ye Zhenshi expressed all of his conjectures.
"..."
Hearing so many deductions right off the bat, Horikita Manabu had to take a second to contemplate for a moment, and then he carefully observed this new junior of his.
He hadn't expected a freshman to have learned so much on the first day.
But he didn't mean to answer the other party's queries.
What could be said would be said, and what could not be said, would just not be said.
"You should ask your homeroom teacher these questions. The student council is not responsible for these things. About the school's rules and regulations, you should ask your homeroom teacher if you don't understand anything."
He immediately pushed the problem away.
However, in this case, it was rather obvious what his thoughts were on the deductions.
"It seems that I guessed right. I have asked some other senpais about it just now, but they all refused to say anything, not to mention the awkward way of saying things by my homeroom teacher. So, the school must have blocked this news. Is this an assessment for us first-years? Have all first years in every year experienced this? Do you want the students to spend points to buy information? Or do you want the students to work it out for themselves? If I remember correctly, the school's points can buy everything the school has to offer, right? A statement like this can be considered quite something in this particular school, right? How many points do I need to buy the information I want?"
Ying Ye Zhenshi stood in front of Horikita Manabu's desk and talked to him while looking into his eyes.
"You need to ask your homeroom teacher about these things, but one thing I can tell you is that the school's points can indeed buy everything in the school, whether it is tangible goods or information. Even if you want to transfer classes, or be exempted from the school's punishment, or even expulsion, as long as you have enough points, you can purchase it."
Being chased and asked by his Kouhai about such matters, Horikita Manabu did not disappoint.
In the student council office, there was also a cute girl who was about 1.55 meters tall [5'1], with short light-purple hair and two buns on her head.
While Ying Ye Zhenshi was talking to Horikita Manabu, she observed the scene of the two in surprise.
"It looks like points are more useful than I thought."
Ying Ye Zhenshi thought out loud.
The idea of collecting and saving points began to grow in his heart.
At least, that way, he couldn't be kicked out of school.
'But to eliminate the punishment for dropping out of school… it sounds very expensive.'
"Can I ask how many points would it take to waive the penalty of expulsion? And while you're at it, would you be able to tell me the price of transferring classes?"
"20 million points, regardless of whether it's a class transfer or revoking an expulsion."
Horikita spoke frankly.
"Twenty million is actually a crazy amount. This is not a small sum. Is it like that to promote some sort of so-called class unity? It seems to be impossible for a single person to raise that much alone."
Ying Ye Zhenshi looked disgusted.
He really hated the idea of having to work together in groups and the like.
"Indeed, no student has managed to raise that sum of points so far. Even with some students having used fraud or some other means, they still haven't managed to raise it. Though, students who have got close to doing so were almost always graduating students."
Horikita explained.
"That's really interesting. The points in this school should be a universal currency, whether it's the seniors or us using it, or the staff of this school, right? You should be able to transfer money as you wish."
Ying Ye Zhenshi asked.
"Yes, the points are a universal currency, but you are being too impolite, Kouhai. You have too many questions."
It was the first time for Horikita Manabu to be asked such a troublesome question.
Even a third-year student like him had become afraid to communicate with him more, lest he divulge important tidbits.
Such a freshman was most certainly a social terrorist in his books.
"I am just like this. The more I know, the more problems come up as a result. And I have to find a way to resolve them. Let's work hard to solve them together, student council president Senpai. Oh, I have another question I wanted to ask. Is the school's punishment system based on the individual or the whole class being punished together? Say for example I do something bad, will my class also be punished too?"
"There are all sorts of rules surrounding punishments. You can ask your homeroom teacher for the details."
Horikita Manabu didn't answer this question.
Ying Ye Zhenshi also understood what he was saying.
As long as the student council president didn't want to answer, or couldn't answer his queries, he was just told to ask his homeroom teacher.
Regarding the emulating standard and the points conversions, the president hadn't fully answered all of his queries either.
