Claimed by my Guardian Angel.

Wanting to find answers about the disappearance of her roommate who hadn't returned back after entering the young Master Marcos room, Anna walked outside the Mansion to the backyard where Young Master Marcos often visits at midnight. She saw him standing with his hands tucked into his front pocket looking at the butler who was holding a shovel in his hand. He was digging a pit at the late hour of the night. "What are you--" Anna stumbled on her footsteps, making her fall on the ground. On hearing a female voice, Marcos turned around to see Anna standing near one of the graves holding a lantern. "What do you think I'm doing?" The corner of his lips tugged up with a cunning smile. "Burying a maid who refused to obey instructions." Anna took couple steps and she froze on that spot. Close to the butler was the dead body of her roommate! "Victoria!" "I told her to make me coffee and she made me tea instead." He put two and two together and his eyes went from her head to toe. "Maidens like you are supposed to be either on bed or working in the kitchen at this time. Anna what are you doing in the middle of the night all alone? Did you come here to seduce me again?" At his words, her face flushed with pink blush and she tried to avoid his gaze. "That is not true." As the butler was about to place the dead body into the grave, Marcos stopped him by raising his hand. "Find a way to dispose this body. We will be burying Anna instead." She felt her heart sink into her stomach at his words.

Mysterious room

Her body was covered with sweat and she could feel a pounding headache. Her vision was still hazy as she was trying to recover from the dream. She had dreamt seeing Victoria dead. Even though it was a dream, it felt real. Seeing her roommate dying and her guardian Angel had come to her dream again. What exactly did he want? Was he here to guide her or what?

"We will be going to the market today. The house is lacking foodstuffs." She heard Victoria say to her.

Anna stood up and entered the bathroom to wash her body. Once she was done, she stepped outside to see Edith standing there with mop and bucket.

"Take. Clean Master Marcos room." She dropped the bucket on the ground and left.

Anna sighed before taking the bucket and she headed to Marcos room. Reaching there, she knocked on the door but there was no response. After knocking for a few minutes, she decided to open the door.

She stepped into the room and saw that Marcos was not in his room. When her eyes moved to the black bag sitting on the table, she quickly picked it up. She put it into her pocket quickly and started to clean the room.

She looked around the room, weighing her surroundings. With curiosity, she walked around the room, exploring the enormous space of the room. Her eyes moved closer to a door which blended with the colour of the wall and was hidden from plain sight.

She tilted her head and walked closer to the door. She wondered what was inside the room. She curled her hands around the handle and opened the door. She saw it was another room which was smaller than the other one. Her eyes fell on dozens of canvas paintings hung on the wall, and she paused in her footsteps.

It was pictures of Marcos mother when she was still alive. She was sitting on a sofa with her two sons beside her. They looked like one happy family but the only thing was that, the woman was not happy. She was sad and it was as if they had forced her into taking pictures with them.

There was boxes placed on the side of the room which had carried dust from staying for too long in the room without cleaning. There was books on the cupboard and when Anna was about to open one of them, she heard the door open.

Her head quickly snapped to the direction and her eyes widened to see Marcos standing there.

Marcos was standing there with towel around his waist. His slightly messy hair was swept back and was dripping with water. A few strands were sticking to his wet forehead.

The towel was hanging very low on his hips, nearly revealing his deep V-line.

His beauty was enough to put the gods to shame. At his sight, Anna felt her throat run dry. Her face had turned pale with fear and panic.

"What are you doing there?" He asked.

His brows furrowed with anger as he wanted to know what gave her the right to step into the room. Even his step-mother was not allowed to go into the room. The only person he had given permission to step into the room was Elizabeth. Every other person was not allowed. The items in that room belongs to his late mother who had passed away and he had to lock them in there. Seeing a maid in the room made the blood in his skin boil with anger.

Anna felt a cold chill run through her whole body at his gaze centred on her. With his cold stare, she was not sure if he would let her escape on this.

Her face crumbled with anxiety building up in her. She knew he would not spare her, she just prayed her punishment would be less painful.

"I..... I came to clean your room." She bowed her head.

"Does that looks like my room?" He titled his head to look at her from the side.

"I..... I never knew the room does not belong to you." She told him.

"I'm sorry I will not go in there again." She had never seen this side of him. There was no smile on his face and his expression was so dark, sending fear in her mind.

When he started to approach her, she took cautious steps away from him. She continued to inch backward until her back hit onto the door. The air around them was suffocating and she could not breathe.

"What. Where. You. Doing. In. That. Room?" His black eyes was staring into her dark brown eyes.

When he placed a hand on the wall, she heard an heavy thud which made her shrank back in fear.

"I was only staring at the pictures." She replied.

"And....?" He asked.

Anna only wished she hadn't go into the room. If she left this place alive, she promised herself never to step foot in his room.

Marcos stared at her frightened figure, he wanted to punish her for what she did. But he didn't know why he could not bring himself to do so right now. Maybe it was because of the anger he was feeling. He was not a person who would forgive easily but he was also glad she didn't touch the black box.

Suddenly, Anna saw lines of black veins cloud his eyes and his eyes were turning darker.

"Did something happen—"

Before she could finish the sentence, he turned around immediately.

"Leave!" He ordered.

"But your eyes.... They look—"

"I said leave!" He screamed and in the next second, Anna dashed out of the room.

She let out the breathe she was holding when she reached outside.

Never again, she thought to herself as she walked to the kitchen.
