Chapter 8: Truth
He winced.
"A lot then. Got it." She sat back in the chair, picking at pieces of her sandwich.
"Dani, there is a reason why Greg thought this was the best way to go about things, and why I agreed with him."
She snickered and then opened her mouth, ready to snap at him, but she stopped herself.
Give him a chance to explain before you bite his head off. He's at least willing to give you some information, but you can't get answers if you won't listen.
Luke sighed. "Vampires are broken into sectors depending on how many are in the community and the leaders they select."
She nodded quietly, digesting the information as she took a bite of her sandwich.
"Most leaders can only manage a few hundred, others a thousand or more. They're sectioned into different jurisdictions by states, or state clusters. However, as it stands today, Greg is the leader of the Northeastern Circle, the largest circle of vampires that exists within America."
