Chapter 77: Stronger
He roared and moved to attack her, but Johanna was quicker, freezing his body in place.
The windows shattered and the doors slammed open as twenty of Zachariah's men invaded the house.
"Am I supposed to be scared?" Johanna said. They tried to move, but she froze them in place as well. "When you started losing, you stopped focusing on whatever magic it was that let you mask your group. But now that the gangs all here, I think it's time to say goodbye."
Johanna dug deep inside of herself, pouring everything she could into her attack, every ounce of rage, betrayal, and hurt fueled her power. She raised her hands to the ceiling as the men struggled to break free of her magic, but she wouldn't let them. She looked at Luke's sleeping form one more time before she slammed her hands down to her sides.
