The Gathering Storm

I immediately slipped under a special dome, an illusionary barrier designed to disrupt any senses trying to perceive my existence. It was one of my abilities, though Cyrus had warned that particularly powerful individuals could still sense me. But sometimes, risks had to be taken.

Now inside the illusionary dome, I was walking behind Vane about 15 meters far from him and suddenly he heard an emotionless voice "Vane how are you"

There were two men inside that room one looked like an extremely rich Aristocat because one of them was wearing shiny clothes, and a lot of golden and diamond jewelry while holding a beautiful sword filled with gems and platinum, that was white colored with a simplistic and rough look, maybe that's what made it beautiful. He looked about 30 years old with a powerful aura and a handsome face with a strong physique, his eyes as blue as the ocean and his hair blonde.

The second man also looked noble while wearing a white leather knight uniform which was not commonly worn by guards, though there was a huge difference between him and the blonde guy, He had a rough and always angry pale face filled with scars, and he looked like a scary warrior more than a noble knight. He was almost 6 foot 4 inch even taller than me who was 6,2. He was also holding a long sword that had a weird serpent-like blue-coloured hilt which looked uncomfortable to hold, His hair colour matched with the colour of that hilt.

"I am fine thank you for asking your Majesty" Vane bowed respectfully to the blonde guy, He then stared at the blue-haired guy and nodded at him then stared back at the blonde guy and asked respectfully "Your Majesty, if I may ask—what brings General Raiden here? Has something significant happened?"

'One of the Nine divine Generals of Thornfeild empire, hailed as strongest People in the Empire with their name shaking the battlefields, They are the main force of the Kingdom with even more power (politically and individually) than Royal families like ours, What is he doing here, Is something big going to happen here' thought Vane with some seriousness.

"Yeah you're right, A powerful creature is lurking in Redwick, From the intelligence it looks like Hellion is involved, So you know the whole Kingdom is in a mess and even three Divine Generals are being sent here because Goddess had sent a divine message saying that one of the four Oracle of the ruin Orion Ashveil, Himself would be involved," Aurelian said in a deep and meaningful voice. (The blonde guy)

"WHAT" Vane a person who stays calm in all situations was deeply in shock and fear 'The organization Hellbound is still manageable to deal with if both the Kingdom and Church work together but those four Oracles are basically Gods, And the one at the top of the food chain who had slain countless Gods and destroyed Kingdoms in just past few years, Is Goddess going to descend herself'

Worries of Vane were not unfounded because Hellion was the strongest criminal organization, not in just kingdom but in the whole world, It didn't have a single leader but rather four Oracles who made decisions for the organizations, And what was even more interesting about them was they were normal beings who reached divinity not born mythical creatures like most of the Gods, which was a nearly impossible task since Gods don't sit ideally when someone tries to reach Divinity.

"Don't worry he is not yet here and do not underestimate My strength" said General Raiden reading Vane's inner thoughts in a dangerous tone appearing beside Vane in an instant from his seat. Now there were almost 100 meters of distance between Vane and the meeting area. The ground where he came from also cracked. He was placing his finger near the neck of Vane.

"Now Now please don't make a scene General Raiden, The boy meant no harm, and Why did what he said affect you that much, are you perhaps trying to escape reality" said Aurelian smirking, A golden hand came out of Vane's neck which stopped Raiden's finger from destroying Vane as a whole.

Vane also realized that He was on his knees trying to breathe, covered in sweat, he was sure if that finger was even one inch closer his whole body would have melted on the spot, and it seemed like Raiden wasn't even serious his finger was still 20 inches away and if it was 19 he would have died and everything would've ended on the spot.

Thunder was crackling around Radien and his face looked even more angry and it seemed like he was about to explode.

"Did someone ever tell you that your smile is really annoying and you shouldn't smile" Hissed Raiden.

Aurelian smirk grew even wider, "Quiet a few people actually" answered Aurelian.

"Well let's put that matter for now….Please Mr Raiden" Aurelian said in a soothing tone.

"WELL IF YOU WANT TO FIGHT I DO NOT MIND" shouted Raiden appearing back at his seat like he never moved at all but appeared calmer since Aurelian pleaded.

"Fighting with you no no, we people of the Church are servants of the Goddess and comrades of the Kingdom, why will I have any intentions to fight with you, I just moved to protect my subordinate." Aurelian explains in a humble yet somewhat sarcastic voice.

'These people are crazy, but I got a lot of important information now maybe that Orion guy is related to this case, I could use these people to deal with the masked man.' thought Leor silently.

"Both of them should be arriving soon, till then scout every inch of Redwick town and also take some of my men with you, What do you think?" Raiden asked in a serious tone.

 "Will do that but what would you do for two days? You arrived sooner than I expected." Aurelian asked curiously.

"I will investigate personally of course, Because No one here can match my efficiency," said Raiden in an 'isn't that obvious' tone and disappeared with no trace.

"Your Majesty, Should I inform all the Ironbound squads to investigate?" Vane asked now calm in an emotionless tone, Today, he felt powerless.

"Yes, you do that and also I will personally lead all squads for this mission, So gather every squad in this capital in 40 minutes and also call 2 Archbishops of your choice, Till then I shall inform Synod about the mission details" Aurelian ordered in a serious tone.

(Synod: Official council of the Church, a Pope Chosen by unanimous vote of all 6 Cardinals leads them)

'This should be the biggest mission I am doing, Cardinal is personally leading it.' thought Vane and went to do the mission given to him. 

At this moment Cardinal Aurelian was sitting all 'alone' in the meeting room and Leor was just about to leave this place after Vane left. 

Suddenly a sharp voice sounded "I know you're around me I can feel you, Even Raidan could feel you and he is not even that good at sensing." It was Aurelian.

Leor felt deep chills from this voice and it felt like he would die from a heart attack.

"Don't worry even he can't sense you inside this dome, It must be his battle instincts telling him that he is being watched, but you should seriously leave as quickly as possible since your Aether is more than 70% consumed" Cyrus's gentle voice put some relief in Leor's trembling heart.

"What more than 70% it hasn't even been 7 minutes and controlling Vane didn't consume as much as I expected," Leor asked in his head surprised.

"Do you not realize what kind of creatures senses we are blocking, they can crush you 1000 times with a finger while blinded, don't complaint now, You're in some serious danger" Cyrus argued back and warned.

"I mean no harm to you and maybe I can even help you," Leor said in a deep voice mimicking the tone of James in memory.

"But I don't like being watched on, Maybe if you come forward I will listen to you," Aurelian said his voice growing more dangerous by the second.

"That I cannot do HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, But let me warn you something big is about to happen in Wellington Street, ALL HAIL LORD MALAKAR" With that said Leor ran like a scared cat as fast as he possibly could because his perfect veil was just seconds away from shattering completely. What he yelled inside was a well-thought plan that he was just looking for opportunities to use, He did not know who and what Lord Malakar was but saw James and masked man talk about it. It was a measured risk. And to not call his name he already asked about it to Cyrus and Cyrus said that inside the dome of stillness 'Stiller' even Mallakar can't pinpoint who said his name and could only know that someone had said it, which would maybe make him a bit suspicious but who cares.

Meanwhile, Aurelian sensed that the feeling of being watched was completely gone. 'How skilled he must be to come in without gaining any attention and even I couldn't sense his Aether, This level of mastery over his Aether and what did he just say about Malakar, Was he also a member of Hellbound' Aurellian wasted no time in informing Raiden
