Sona Vs Rias

Currently Leo was seated in the stands of Kuoh Highschool Gymnasium alongside Altria, Grayfia and Serafall. As they looked at the field where Sona and Rias were present at opposite sides with their peerages.

The gymnasium was being reinforced by Leo who gave them the permission to go all out.

"Do you feel it as well?" Sona asked as she stared at Leo and Altria. "Yes" Tsubaki answered with a nod.

The two weren't sure what it was but they felt Altria had grown a lot closer to Leo. They knew that the two went on a date yesterday meaning something happened during the date. It was like Altria got something before them.

The two looked at each other annoyed at being outdone by Altria they decided they would go all out in this match to show Leo how much they have improved.

Sudden release of aura from Sona and Tsubaki surprised everyone as Rias and her peerage looked at the two and saw their look of determination making them gulp in nervousness.

Grayfia stood up from the stands as she reached the centre of the field and looked at the two sides. "Are you two ready?" Grayfia asked as both Sona and Rias nodded.

Nodding her head Grayfia explained the rules "This will be a peerage battle. The match won't end till either all members are no longer capable of fighting or if they surrender. I'll interfere if things go astray."

Saying she went back to the stands as both Sona and Rias looked at each other.

The intense battle vibe was broken by Serafall as she shouted "Go! So-tan" waving her magic wand.

As Sona's cold face twitched, shaking her head she motioned her peerage as the two sides clashed.

Tomoe summoned her spirit swords as she dashed, jumping she held her sword and slashed at Kiba. Kiba noticing it failed to dodge but used his sacred gear as several swords spurted out of the ground. Using one of them he blocked the strike. Seeing her attack being blocked Tomoe smirked as she used her Knight piece ability and started attacking Kiba from different directions not giving Kiba a chance to counter. Kiba also being a good swordsman blocked all of Tomoe's attacks.

The two continued to clash as Tomoe stopped at a little distance from Kiba as she looked at him and grinned as she dashed at him. Kiba seeing her approach took his stance as he was about to counter Tomoe's swords disappeared as she leaped into air and turned around summoning her sword back she successfully manage to slash Kiba's back.

Kiba backed off but couldn't stop the slash, creating a little distance he looked at Tomoe as she looked at him. Seeing Tomoe's movements had truly surprised him since this wasn't the first time he had fought her but this was the first time he got injured by her. Tomoe didn't give him time to continue his inner monologue as she attacked Kiba. Seeing that Kiba used [Flame Sword] as a blade covered with flames appeared in his hands. He slashed at Tomoe sending a wave of flames at her transforming her sword into a shield Tomoe blocked off the flame as she sprinted at him without any worries. This surprised Kiba as he tried to back off but Tomoe didn't let him as she turned her sword into a spear and threw it at him as the spear successfully managed to hit Kiba's shoulder rendering him immobile.

[A/N : Tomoe uses a spirit sword, using her spiritual energy she can manipulate it's shape and attributes ]

Tomoe walked up to Kiba as she re-summoned her sword placing its edge over Kiba's neck she smirked.

"I surrender" Kiba said as he knew he couldn't fight any longer his back had a cut while his shoulder had a hole in it seeing his pathetic self and looking at Tomoe who had a few heavy breaths and some minor cuts and burn marks, he shook his head as he found himself seated in the stands completely healed.

He looked at Leo who was calmly eating popcorn alongside Altria, Grayfia and Serafall he sighed as he looked at the field.

Back at field, Tomoe reached near Sona while Reya healed her.

On the other side to where Tomoe and Kiba were clashing their swords, Tsubasa and Koneko were exchanging punches and kicks. The fight was bit unfair as Koneko lacked in terms of martial arts techniques opposite to Tsubasa who had mastered many martial arts. Not to mention since Koneko had yet to tap into senjutsu chakra she was quite weak. Tsubasa infusing her demonic power in her arms and legs, sent a kick at Koneko who dodged it by jumping over it but was met by a punch from Tsubasa as Koneko crashed into the nearby wall.

Getting up with a frown Koneko charged at Tsubasa who successfully blocked her most attacks. As such the two continued to exchange blows at each other while Koneko was using only her Rook abilities, Tsubasa was infusing her blows with demonic power alongside her Rook abilities making her moves more harmful than normal. Soon Tsubasa successfully managed to knock out Koneko.

Just like Kiba, Koneko was teleported in the stands completely healed but was still unconscious. Soon Tsubasa also joined Sona.

While the two Queens were clashing in air. Tsubaki had her naginata in her hand as she dodged an incoming lightning bolt from Akeno who was in her sadist mode. Tsubaki slashed her naginata at Akeno who barely dodged it. With a flash her clothes changed to that of a shrine priestess as lightening clouds appeared over her waving her hands lightning bolts rained down on Tsubaki who used her sacred gear as a huge mirror appeared in front of her as the magic attack was reflected back at Akeno. Akeno tried to dodge the attack but was still hit by most of it. Tsubaki didn't give her time to recover as she infused her demonic power in her naginata and slashed at Akeno who though hadn't recovered completely tried to cover herself with lightening as a form of armour but Tsubaki used defensive magic as she created a barrier around her and managed to bypass Akeno's lightening as the blade of her naginata rested on Akeno's neck who looked at Tsubaki and smiled wryly, shaking her head she looked towards her King who had a deep frown on her face.

Sighing Akeno found herself in the stands alongside her rest of the members completely healed, she looked at Leo, nodded as she thanked him who just casually waved his hand as if it was no big deal.

Akeno looked at Kiba who had a dejected look while Koneko who had just gotten her consciousness back she shook her head as she had somewhat expected similar results.

While all of this was happening Rias looked at how her peerage lost against Sona's peerage making her dejected, she looked at Sona who was calmly looking at her.

"Are you sure you want to continue this Rias?" Sona said as her peerage assembled behind her, looking at Rias.

Rias didn't say anything instead used her destruction power as she shot her magic at Sona.

Sona decided to fight her alone just like her peerage members and as if reading her thoughts Sona's peerage was teleported in the stands by Leo who gave her a thumbs up, as if telling her to kick Rias' ass.

Calling out her wings Sona dodged Rias' attack. Flying in air Sona created giant snakes using her water magic as she sent them at Rias. Rias tried to dodge but found her feet were bound using water chains seeing no escape she used her destruction magic successfully managing to destroy both the snakes which were coming at her.

Already anticipating it Sona used the opportunity when Rias was destroying her water snakes to sneak behind her as she sent water spears towards Rias successfully hitting her as she landed on her knees because of that with blood dripping from her shoulders and knees.

"Rias it's better if you surrender" Sona said though her tone was calm, internally she was a bit nervous as she didn't wish to harm her own friend but knew it would do Rias better in the end so she didn't let it affect her.

Rias seeing her situation mumbled her surrender as she was healed by Leo just like her peerage.

Rias' peerage helped her up as they looked at Leo hugging Sona and Tsubaki with a kiss on the cheek as the two woman were beet red. While he also congratulated rest of Sona's peerage.

"Well at least you didn't disappoint me and Leo or else I would have to double the training" Altria's words made Sona and her peerage shiver in fright.

Leo then walked up to Rias' peerage as he patted both Akeno and Koneko saying "Don't be disappointed you gave your best" as he also patted Kiba's shoulder who looked at him and nodded. Leo without even giving Rias a look walked away as he said "Think on my advice, princess" .

Soon all the girls went back to their dorm as Serafall after congratulating Sona left for the Underworld since her paperwork was due while Grayfia left to give her report on the match to Venelana.

Now in her room Rias sat on her bed, she wasn't sure what to do, this was first time she was stuck in such a situation. Ever since Leo appeared in her life things weren't going how she wanted them to, him ignoring her as he talked with all other girls, his fight against Tsubaki and Kiba, the meeting she had with him…she still remembered how powerless she felt when he exposed his aura…how he ruthlessly rejected her offer, his meeting with her brother…how easily he overpowered him and his words last week…they still clouded her mind.

As much as she tried to deny his words she couldn't find any reason to deny them, deep down she knew he was right. And today Sona her childhood friend who had supported her and helped her, who started her peerage just around the same time as her, has now improved so much over the years. Sona just like her was forced to an arrange marriage but she broke it off with her efforts while she just ran away from it.

Many such thoughts ran through her mind as she lied on her bed. Leo's words before he left earlier today sounded in her mind. 'Maybe I should…' thinking she slowly drifted to sleep.

Early next morning, Rias freshened up, she went downstairs to find most of the girls there. Seeing Grayfia she walked up to her and said…

[A/N : Remember this is a year before canon so Rias and her peerage aren't that strong, aside from Kiba who had a couple sparring sessions with Leo but they'll are still much weaker then the time of rating game against Riser]
