To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has already achieved, but at what he aspires to. - Kahlil Gibran
The room is bare, and the walls a sterile shade of white.
Pivoting on the balls of my feet, a hundred and eighty degrees, confusion tugs at my mind. How can we possibly exercise, much less jog, in such a small open area? Vlad struts up and grins.
"When I said I wanted to go jogging, this is not what I had in mind." My hands firmly locked onto my hips.
"Close your eyes. And do not open them until I tell you to. Do you understand?"
"Yeah, but I think I'd rather be back home. At least there, I'd have more to see when I moved from room to room."
"Trust me. Things are not always as they seem. Now close your eyes."
Huffing, I squeeze my eyes shut. The air changes, causing goose bumps to prickle my skin.
