Chapter 4

When they opened their eyes. They found themselves in an open plain.

"Eh?"

"We logged out. What is this?"

"Dunno. But we have to log out guys. Must be a bug. We will not arrive on time if we don't do so."

After the same happened.

"Huh!? We can't log out! It's not working! What the heck!?"

"Are you sure Shingo!?"

"Yeah! Come here then, Adam."

"Yeah… It's really not working guys! What should we do!? We'll not arrive on time! They'll be mad on us!"

"It's alright. We should just tell them that some bug happened."

A person that carries a scythe replied. Kenny.

"But the game is near perfect only one bug is found ten years later!"

"We all are living by ourselves. If this had happened to other people then they could have gone out at some point when somebody removed their headgear."

"Uhh! What should we do!?"

"It's alright Shingo. We know you are dating with Mia. It's alright. You should have told Rai earlier that you wanted to be in the same party as her."

"H, huh!?"

"It's alright. He chose to be with us as we are all friends. Don't worry. You'll meet her later, I am sure. After all. Rai asked us if we all could form parties of all five with the same race in it. It's pretty effective after all."

"Also! Why are we here!?"

"Haha! It's alright. We should just take a stroll for now. When the game detected we are in danger ambulance will surely be sent."

"But that will be hours after!"

"Hahahahahaha! Then meet with Mia later… Just the two of you. You can take her to–"

"Alright! Shut up!"

"Okay. Then. Let's look around. Even though it's day, we are not weakened anymore."

"Yeah. Thanks to blessings."

Kenny replied.

They walk around and Remo opened his inventory and status screen.

"Guys…"

"What?"

"Our… Stats and items."

"Yeah. Do not make a fuss about it. I already notice that we only have our legendary weapons."

"Don't worry! We'll sue the devs if they did not bring back everything."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Alright."

"Guys!"

"What? Shingo?"

"Look over there."

Shingo then pointed it.

"Isn't that a Vampire's castle?"

Kenny spoke.

"Just a castle. How can you say immediately that it is a vampire's"

"How about we go check it?"

"Okay."

They walked to the castle and knocked on the door.

"Hello!"

But no one's answering.

"Oh. It's open."

They arrived inside. It's dark inside even though it's clearly a day outside. No sunlight is coming in from the windows as the curtain blocks it.

It's also cold inside.

But they could see as clear as day since they have night vision as all vampires do.

"Who dares trespass my dominion!?"

"We dare to!"

Kenny replied.

"Show yourself."

"Alright."

Suddenly. A figure came flying at them at high speed.

But Jarvis is able to interrupt it with his telekinetic ability.

"Why can't I go near?"

"Because I am stopping you."

He then sent him away to the farthest wall and crash ed there. He falls on his knees and the wall visibly repairs itself.

"Guys. He's level 80. We're only level one. Do you think we could?"

"Yeah. We'll sue the devs if we died here and lost everything after all."

"Haha! Right."

"You dare trespass my place and throw me away like a ragdoll?"

"We didn't mean to. You attacked us first. We're sorry"

"We're sorry. We're going to leave if you want. We don't really want a fight with you."

"You dare humiliate me by living me behind?"

The vampire then now gets up.

"Come on dude. We didn't mean it."

Kenny apologizes.

"No. I won't accept it."

"Oh. He's unforgiving. Crap, we're done."

"Yup we really are."

"No more choices. We have to fight."

"Die. Fools."

"…"

Suddenly. It felt as if space became bigger and is now covered in even more darkness.

"!"

"On the left!"

Kenny blocked the vampire's claws using his black scythe.

"Bat Swarm!"

Legions of bats appeared out of nowhere and attacked the vampire who disappeared into the shadows. At could be heard killed immediately.

"Stay close, everyone!"

"I got this, guys. Do you not remember who I am?"

"Shingo you're still level one. It doesn't matter if you could follow him in the dark or not. Even though we have night visions, we still couldn't see him so it'll be hard to help you."

"Alright. I'll try to take us out of this place."

The vampire appeared again. This time. He's even faster.

Shingo defended it using his spear. It then lits up.

"Huh!?"

The vampire exclaimed.

It lits up golden in the dark and eventually vanquished it.

They are then back to the same living room as before and the light receded

"What did you do?"r

"You want us to kill you? Fine."

"We only have three active skills. Please. Let's not die."

"Yeah. Let's kill this thing now."

"Yes."

They ran towards the vampire with their weapons.

"Sword of destruction!"

Jarvis casts his weapon's skill. It then breaks apart into many little pieces that he could control individually.

He sent them towards the vampire.

Shingo also runs towards the vampire. But then a sound attack startled them all and had to cover their ears. This kills the bats and stopped the incoming projectiles.

"Crap!"

Before that attack could end. A beam of pure darkness came towards Shingo.

"No!"

Kenny immediately used his scythe to hook him away and turning around using the momentum threw Shingo to the vampire above the ground who's levitating currently.

There is no friendly fire in parties so Shingo received no damage when Kenny used his scythe to pull him.

Shingo came flying to the vampire who will sway to the right. But is faced with walls of blood on both sides that squeezed him and after being returned onto the center he faced Shingo's spear.

They came flying to the wall and he got impaled on it.

The projectiles came flying too all around him impaling his limbs to the wall, making escape impossible.

"I am truly sorry about this. You gave us no choice."

"Please no!!!"

A woman screamed.

"What are you doing here!? I told you to hide!"

"But I don't want you to die, my love!"

"Uh… Guys. We're going to break a woman's heart. Should we…"

"No. Hey. We won't kill you. But leave us alone."

"You attacked us first so we have to fight."

Shingo gently pulled out his spear. The small pieces of the sword also came out.

The vampire then fell on the ground with great pain.

The woman who is also actually a vampire came rushing towards him and caresses him.

"You monsters!"

"Helena… Don't…"

Even though he is far from dying. He could no longer fight them. He will even die if not for the woman as he is already cornered into a spot.

"What are you talking about Julius? They clearly will kill you if I did not intervene!"

"Uh… Hey. We are truly sorry. We really will not kill him after all. We just wanted to incapacitate him after all."

"I took all the blood in this castle. I have them all here. I could use it to heal you as an apology."

"No need!"

"Guys. Let's just leave."

"Alright."

Before they opened the door. Adam healed him using the blood he collected.

They got outside and is already a few meters away from the castle when a voice is heard.

"Please don't leave!"

"Huh? You heard it guys?"

"Oh. She's talking to us telepathically."

"Should we go back?"

"Guess so. She tells us not to after all."

They rushed back to the castle opening it once again and heading inside.

Julius and Helena appeared when they closed the doors.

"We know why you are here. We first thought of you as enemies so Julius fought you. He's quite prideful so he challenged you I am sorry about that."

"So you know we are here?"

"Yes."

"Oh..."

"You are wandering for a shelter."

"Uh…"

"We saw you wandering looking for one."

"Y, yeah!"

They are not looking for shelter, however. They are actually just curious about this castle.

"How about you stay here? Humans have been hunting vampires for hundreds of years ago. Even though you dominated the sun and could walk freely outside. The humans will surely hunt you."

"I see."

"Um… How long can we stay here exactly?"

"No matter how long you wanted."

"Alright…"

They all then bowed like knights would do.

"Please forgive us!"

"Eh? Umm… There's no need for that. You could stay here from now on. I hope you could forgive us too and I hope we all get along."

"Y, yes. Alright! Guys! Let's stay here for now!"

"Yeah. Let's just go out occasionally at night."

The group then settled down on the large castle of the couple. For now.
