Song Recommended: Feel Again By Jovan Perez
Her feet hurt.
She had been walking for what felt like decades, having only taken a moment to drink water from rivers that she had found. It felt like she had been walking in circles at times but there was nothing that made her feel as though she was.
Because everything looked the same.
The trees and grass here was greener. The air cleaner. The animals minded their own and there was nothing that caused anxiety to raise its head. Except for the fact that she still couldn't see where on earth she was going.
She collapsed when she got to an opening of a cave. The night sky, high and the place quite calming. Who knew this would be the place to make her thoughts quiet down instantly.
Releasing a heavy breath, she looked around the dark cave, noticing that the only light that helped her see was from the sky. But she had to squint to try and see further than what was close by.
She pushed herself to stand up and pulled out a torchlight from her bag. Once on she slowly walked forward, not wanting to walk in too far, too fast. She didn't want to hand herself over to death. That wasn't her aim in this lifetime.
Noticing something in the middle of the cave she stopped and focused the flashlight on it. She circled around it as she drew closer to it, looking around every few seconds just to see if there was someone there or if this was a trap.
As soon as she was close to it, she noticed that it was a rose. One single rose. Its bleeding color was so deep that it looked too much of an enchanting creature than just a flower. Bending down, she looked at it and noticed that there were rocks around it with words carved into it.
Initio
In the beginning.
She reached out to it and as soon as her finger gently touched the rose petals, the entire cave lit up with a fire on the sides and she felt her body begin to burn. She pulled back quickly and the cave that had been once filled with darkness. Balancing on the night sky's light was now filled with its very own light as though it was…
"…in the beginning," she whispered.
Her landing was gentle as her wings slowly folded so that she could enter the large home. The creatures bowed and moved away as she walked towards the office. She offered smiles and waves towards those that locked eyes with her.
Once in the office, she let the façade fall away as she stepped deeper into the office as she heard the door close. She instantly got on her knees and bowed.
"Mother…" she breathed as she honored the very one that stood within the room, looking out the very window that served the different kinds of light. "What have you brought to me child?" the woman asked carefully.
Her voice filled with kindness but power. It caused a sense of shiver to run through her body as though she was being controlled. Yet she knew she wasn't, she had chosen to serve her and chosen to die for her.
"We've got findings of beings entering this realm. All that have not gone through a process. From the scent and the little evidence, we are sure that it's different kinds of beings. A demon, a fallen, and an angel. All of which are in different parts of the realm but something tells us it's not a coincident act.
How would you like us to handle the matter? Should we do what we've done before? Call upon death to collect their souls or what would you prefer we do?" I asked carefully.
"Call upon death to come to see me but also please do contact my son. Have the best guards watch over them and ensure no blood is spilled on the grounds."
"Yes, Mother."
