Chapter Seventeen: Angels POV: The Appearance Of The Club

Song Recommended: Lie To Me By Tate McRae Feat Ali Gatie

Having agreed to go to the club is one thing but the preparation for it, is honestly, painful. As soon as we knocked off work, the girls decided to get a Uber, that way we would get home quicker. They all decided that we would be going to Halo's place and that made me a bit uncomfortable.

Uncomfortable because he had constantly said to not let anyone in my own apartment but Halo seemed to be alright with letting a group of fallen into her own home. It made me question why she could do it and I couldn't. Maybe there was something I wasn't fully understanding.

"Alright, let's go, we need to get ready and head to the club in an hour and I know not all of you can handle an hour for everything. So be quick or I kick you out even if you not ready." Halo said as we entered her place and immediately the girls rushed into different directions.

They pulled out clothes from bags I hadn't even known they had, it clearly showed that they had planned to go out much sooner than they had anticipated.

I rectantly followed Halo, knowing that I knew her better than the rest of the girls but also knowing that she would easily understand my situation. I didn't have clothes nor did I know how to do everything they were doing. I could see how they applied certain things to their face, enhancing their looks.

I never applied anything onto my face with those products, I always came to work as I am. Kept to the dress code but would at times change the shoes just for the measure but these women seemed to enjoy changing more than just their shoes.

"Hey… come on, I got you." She heard and turned to see Halo gesturing at her to follow. Complying, Aural took the moment to look around her home, it looked bigger and better. There were different kinds of cloth, plus decorations that made the place better.

Aural had considered changing certain parts of her home but couldn't bring herself to do it. It reminded her of him and in a way she felt as though she would be disrespecting him if she changed something. But it also made her feel safe, it was like her own secret place and no one could touch her.

Aural turned to look at Halo, and noticed that she had already gotten ready, she looked extremely different but still so beautiful. Her eyes glowed more and her hair seemed rich as she let it out of its hold. She seemed like a goddess.

"Whose daughter were you?" Aural blurted, unsure of why someone so beautiful and so kind would be cast from Heaven. She seemed to be everything, everyone wanted. She seemed to be the definition of perfection.

Halo gave her a weak smile and tapped on the single-seat which faced the reflection. Placing my stuff on the floor, I took a seat and watched her through the mirror. Her aura glowed a bright blue with a tinge of pink. She began pulling out the pins in my hair and would at times lock eyes with me.

"I was the daughter of an archangel. One who was in charge of making sure that the gates would be forever guarded. One who like your father sat at the right side and was seen with such high regard by everyone but not by me." she started. I was about to ask who was it but she held up her hand to silence me.

"I don't speak his name, that's how much I despise him. I was young when I became a fallen but I was always an observer. I did what the law said and I was seen as such a precious jewel. My father was strict, so I became a very silent child, making sure not to cause issues.

One day, I met a fallen, he was by the gates and he just stared at Heaven with such sad eyes. I wondered, how did he get here because your wings are supposed to be removed. Yet he just stared at it and I decided I wanted to know more. So I went closer and I said why?

He said 'I followed Lucifer because Lucifer was right. Power will always be seen as the riches of the world but Love… love will be manipulated into whatever the person in power of you says. Yet that does not mean, I do not miss my family as I did love them. We all did, we just couldn't keep quiet any longer.'

Right then I heard the shouts, the guardian angels had found traces of darkness and I was too close to it. So a part of my light was affected and my father was not pleased. So he said, 'I will send you to a place where there is only evil. When you realize why darkness and light are apart, you will then humble yourself and call on my name. Then you will return." She said.

Removing my eyes from hers, I was surprised to see how my face looked and as she had done everything without me noticing. My hair was done and my features enhanced. "You never returned home," I whispered, concluding the story on my own.

"No, they lied about earth because they thought it would protect us from what the living actually had. And that was the power of choice belonging to each person. I wanted that power for myself, one that belonged to me. Perfection is nothing if all it does is make you a reflection of someone else." She stated.

"Anyway come along, we need to do other things as well, but at least twenty percent of everything is done." She said with a smile. "I don't even know what I will wear, I will need to go home and find stuff," I said.

"Don't worry, I am sure something in here will fit you. You have a very curvy body plus your hair is very rich and I know what will suit those mighty aspects." She whispered and when she turned around to go find things, I caught sight of something at the very corner of her room.

It seemed to glow brightly and something seemed to entwine with it.

Carefully standing up, I slowly walked towards it and my eyes went wide when I saw what it was.

What was she doing with that?
