"Aural!"
The voice pulled me out of the allure and when I opened my eyes, he was gone. Gone were those eyes that made me feel as though I was staring into the burning fire. Gone were those hands that could easily take away my air supply. Gone were those very hands that made me feel safe.
Gone was that feeling that made me feel as though I was more important than the very will to live. Gone were those very hands that kept me warm. Gone were those arms that had blanket my hopes and driven the cold air of fears and doubts away.
Gone was his very presence
Again.
"Aural! I told you to wait up there, what are you doing here?" Halo shouted as she grabbed both my arms, shaking me out of my daze. She looked petrified and yet so confused. "I-i-…" I stuttered, unsure what to say because I knew what I had seen. I knew who I had seen.
Yet he wasn't here.
Again
"He was here," I whispered as I looked around, trying to catch his gaze. Trying to point him out because I knew I wasn't crazy… Or had I gone crazy? "Who, Aural? Who did you see?" she questioned.
"I know I saw Him. He was here. I swear." I said softly as I locked eyes with her. Her gaze softened and she pulled me into a bear hug. I tensed for a bit because I knew she didn't like hugs and I felt oddly uncomfortable but she still held me. I slowly relaxed into it and hugged her back strongly.
Feeling the fresh tears begin to bloom like fresh spring.
The sound of the music was slowly returning to my ears and I was slipping back into reality. The sound of the music was announcing itself back into my ears and I closed my eyes for a second. Feeling it vibrate as I held onto Halo, shaking myself.
Yet when I opened my eyes, there he stood far away, staring into my eyes with sadness and fear. He looked as though a deer struck by headlights and froze in place. But his expression slowly changed and I could see his aura match with it.
He placed his thumb on his lips and ran it across his lips. I felt the tingling feeling on my lips and I felt my body buzz again. I shivered with the slight excitement and I felt something burn in me. I wanted more, I needed more but this wasn't how I would get it and he knew it.
So before I could utter a word, he disappeared as soon as I blinked.
He knew he shouldn't be in the club, knew that he would see her and he could smell her but what could he dare say to her. So when the music played and he caught sight of her. He couldn't help but be allured by her eyes. He felt as though he was a werewolf in heat.
He wanted to rip out of his very skin and hope that the burning sensation would come to a halt. But nothing seemed to be working and when he led her to the middle of the dancefloor and they moved with such ease. His mind couldn't help but wonder about all the possibilities if he could just give into the temptation.
The power of the decision weighing upon his shoulders as though boulders. He wanted to feel her body onto of his. He wanted to hear her sigh against his lips as he tightened his hold on her waist. And he heard her so with such grace when he tightened his hold on her neck.
That very neck that he knew would expose to the very bruises when she awoke tomorrow. Hoping that it would all be a dream but he wouldn't dare count his stars for that. No, the bliss of ignorance might as well feign its innocence because he was already charmed and she didn't have to be siren.
He wanted her in ways that hurt more and she could feel the butterflies awaken in her stomach. He could feel his true nature want to slip out and luckily she had been too drunk to taste foreign that would devour her very lips. She had been too drunk to see his eyes change color and it hurt that he couldn't take advantage of that.
So he watched the woman be comforted by the other, her arms wrapped tightly around her as she shook. And when their eyes met, he couldn't help but let his gift reveal itself. He could feel the need to explore more of what she hadn't even thought of until him.
He could feel the curiosity to touch and to mark. Yet he knew that they both wouldn't be allowed to. So he watched her and when the opportunity presented itself. He was out the door, heading straight to the very road that led to his new apartment.
"You went to see her again didn't you?" came the voice he had hoped would stay out whilst he explored. "Is it that visible?" he asked as he marched past him, heading to his room to discard his clothes and shower. "It wouldn't have been but you reek of her. You touched her didn't you?"
"That is something that isn't your business and you know that so why do you continue to poke at it like a solider or a child that is way too curious." He drawled as he rolled his eyes, ignoring the presence.
"Remember why you are here," he said and closed the door, leaving him to discard the very façade he had put on. His eyes flashing red and black when he locked eyes with himself through the mirror.
'Remember why you are here,'
How could he not remember why he was here? He barely got summoned unless it was absolutely important.
