"Why on earth would you just let her go?" He questioned as they continued to search the forest. They hadn't been able to run after her immediately as he had been busy with the siren. He had hoped that Rose would keep an eye on her but no, Rose had ignored her as though she was nothing.
Forgetting that she was the key to everything.
"She is not my job nor my mission nor my focus. You are, so im not going to focus on some… angel." She said as she followed him, trying to keep up with him the best she could and suddenly she bumped into something hard.
Oh, wait, it was his broad back.
"Why on earth did you stop?" she huffed as she stepped back from him. "You forget that you serve me and are part of everything that gets handed or challenged to me. You think that she isn't anything? Nor your focus?
Guess what she is and the sooner we get her and get close to that damn angel, the sooner we can get out of here and the sooner you can return to your damn holy land." He spat before walking away again.
Her features softened as sadness entered her heart. She knew this would come and that's why she hadn't told him. They had spent years together and made every kind of memory they could. She had begun to see why his father was hard on him, his heart was different from what it was supposed to be.
His mother was a bit more gentle on him, because she could see the pure side of her life in him. Hell might have bred a child but it wasn't one of destruction. This one cared but at moments, if truly hurt, did whatever he could to seem tough.
And to her, he never was, nor did he ever want to be.
She held back for so long and now she hadn't expected for this realm to be pushing them apart. Maybe this was the time to leave and to never return. She only served to help him and to push him but at this point she had done something else. She had truly betrayed him.
Talk about being an angel in disguise.
"Aamon," she called out as she slowly followed him, tears gathering in her eyes as she tried her might to get him to stop. "Aamon!" she spat as she picked up her pace but then she saw him stop. That put hope in her heart, so she looked up, holding back her tears and came close to him.
"Listen I-" she stopped, finally noticing why he had stopped. It definitely wasn't because of her but because of the damn fallen angel. He crunched down and looked her over, placing his hands on her face. He took in the blood on her.
Rose couldn't lie, she hoped that the damn angel was dead, because in all honesty, the jealousy was burning her inside out. "Rose," he said and she kept quiet. Annoyed that he only called her name now even though she had almost begged him to stop not so long ago.
Hypocrite.
"Take the feather in her hand," he commanded, "Why don't you?" she questioned, annoyed by him suddenly commanding her. He let out a deep sigh of annoyance and turned to look at her. "Because if I touch it, it will explode and we can't risk that can we, Rose." He stated.
Her eye twitched at his words but silently did as he stated. The feather slightly burned her hands and she flinched before bringing it close to her shirt and rolling it in there as she took it off. It still glowed in the shirt but at least it wasn't burning her anymore.
"Take that feather back to father," he suddenly said, as he reached forward and scooped the girl up, instantly making her eye twitch again. He was now treating her like a damn princess. For hell's sake, this girl was getting the special treatment.
"What!" she spat, as she gave him an angry look. "Take that feather back to father, now." He ordered before pushing past her. "Listen, I get it. You're angry that I didn't tell you but I chose to remain here. Forget my emotions but this is ridiculous." I argued.
"No! what is ridiculous is that you are about to fight with me about your job, a job you know very well. Now in regards to your feelings, you know I have no regard for nor were you supposed to allow them to grow. Your guard remains up and you remember what the fuck you need to do." He spat.
"Now take that feather back to my father, report back and don't ever return. Go home, Rosila. Go home to your family and thank you for your services." He continued before turning his back to her, continuing the route where he knew he would find a water stream.
"Aamon! You will not send me back like this! This is me! This is me! This is me!" she repeated with a scream. Her voice shook with emotion as she watched him continue. Not even stopping to regard her emotions. "YES, I ADMIT IT I HAVE LOVED YOU!" she yelled with all her might.
She let out a choking sob when she saw him stop, "Yes I have loved you and yes I still do love you but that is what helped me do what I could for you for decades. Eons. Do not send me away as if I didn't mean anything to you. I served you well and better than even your own family." She cried as she fell onto her knees.
Feeling the sob vibrate though her, she heard the shuffling of leaves and bushes. That was enough to make her cry even more as she assumed that he had still left in regardless. Yet when she noticed a shadow, she looked up to see him standing before her.
His shirt bloody from the fallen angel, he let out a sigh and fell onto his very own knees. He held her chin and helped her look into his very own true eyes. The red glowed brightly like rubies and she couldn't help but want to sob more because he still let her see him.
"Thank you, Rose." He whispered and let out a sob when he placed a kiss on her forehead, her right cheek, her left cheek and slowly descended to her very own lips.
"Ad infernum,"
