"Aamon … " he heard and turned to find her weakly walking towards him. Yet before she could get any closer to him, she began to sway as though woozy. Immediately knowing where this was going he hurried to catch her just in time. When he did, he let out a deep sigh, at this point, he was stuck babysitting.
He had been walking for the past hour and he was getting tired of carrying her. He had been following her map, trying to get them closer to the next step without any delay. He was tired of constantly moving slow because of her, so it was best that she was asleep but at the same time, he knew it was a risk being contact with her. She could wake up or go into a different shift which would have him marked. He didn't want to be marked by her. He didn't want her imprint on his body. Especially by a higher being, they would burn each other.
Reaching one of the clue spots from the map, he looked down at her sleeping figure and wondered how someone who went through havoc, sleep so peacefully. As if there was nothing in the world that would hurt her. He snorted.
He dropped her, literally.
The sound of her groaning was clearly heard and evident. Making him extremely grateful for it. She had slept for too long and he couldn't care less if he hurt her. He was tired of being her damn service guard. She was becoming too comfortable around him and although that was the aim, it was getting on his nerves.
"Ouch ... " she cried as she rubbed the back of her head and slowly looked up, confused. A funny thought crossed his mind, he crunched down and said to her, "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" She gave him a dead pan look as she pushed herself up.
He chuckled as he got up and watched her dust herself up from the ground. "How long have I been out?" she asked when she looked around, trying to figure out where she was and when they had arrived there. "Probably an hour or more." She heard him respond. "I've been carrying you, since your little … episode. Do you even remember it?" he asked.
And her mind flashed for a second, allowing her to replay what had happened. One minute she had been talking to him casually and planning where they would go next. The nex minute, everything was dark and pain just filled her body. The more she thought about it the more it felt like she was feeling someone else's pain.
"Who are you?" she remembered the voice of the woman that had spoke through her and she could slightly see the woman's figure but it was too bright to focus on. There were two other creatures around her, moving in a rush towards her. She wondered whose memories or body was she in.
"Mother … I don't know what will be the best decision at this point," one of the creatures said. Mother? She was a mother? "Keep an eye on him and find that girl. I don't know who she is but that mark on my child infuritates me. If this happens again, I will find a way to kill her." The woman said and walked out.
"Aural?" she heard and turned to the voice. Aamon looked at her confused and she didn't know how to respond. She still felt dazed and slow but she knew that the best idea would be to get out of here as soon as possible.
"Where are we?" she asked slowly. "We are retracing our steps, so we are back at the cave." He answered and they moved to enter it. Finding the same Rose and the stones. She did exactly as she had before and immediately the flaming woman reappeared with haste.
She looked surprised to see them but within a few seconds, she started giving them both a cunning smile. "Well well well, doesn't this defy the odds. An angel and a demon, both in the same place, at the same time. This must be my lucky, lucky day." She said and took a step forward. "Have you come to see if you will be able to fall in love or if heaven and hell will allow it?" she asked.
Wait what?
