Making Amends

Herricks POV

I watched her facial features as she struggled to sleep. I knew she was trying so hard to fall asleep or at least she wasn't already in deep sleep.

I watched her through the little opening in the door frame.

Her soft and slow paced breath filled the room. She looked so peaceful like nothing bad and dramatic was happening in her life at the moment, like she wasn't hurt by being separated from her children and being given out cheaply to an Alpha she barely knows.

'What the hell were you thinking, Herrick?' I internally roared at my stupid self.

How could I have let someone this beautiful, kind and precious go easily just to save my territory.

Perhaps she was the reason why even had a territory for starters.

If she hadn't come at the time she did, most of my subjects and strong warriors including my beloved mother would be long dead by now.

I felt so stupid for letting her go so easily after finding her again.
