Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation

*Dark Mafia Romance* Pregnant. "I.." she blinked at the words that were blinding her. "I.." "I? I? What, Evelyn?" Salvatore spat, making her flinch. "What is it that you want to say, say it loud and fucking clear!" She jumped on the spot and closed her eyes in fear. "I.." "What?!" His scream was powerful enough that Evelyn jumped on the spot and started to cry. Why was this happening to her? Why were these papers in front of her? "I don't know," she screamed back with rivers of tears flowing down her face. "I don't know what happened. I don't know what's happening!" Salvatore chuckled darkly and shook his head as he barked out at her, "You don't know what's going on? Fine, I will tell you what's going on. You are three months pregnant with the child of a man that you spent one night with." His voice lowered several octaves and deepened. He was controlling himself. The reality made her close her eyes and lower her head. The product of a one night stand was inside her womb. This reason alone was enough for her father to discard her had he been alive and he was her father but Salvatore was her husband. She opened her eyes and looked at him again. What was he going to do? **** Salvatore had never let the information out. No one knew that he had the same darkness inside him that his father carried in his veins. He had buried it successfully until she came along. Evelyn. ~Not for faint hearted.~

The brunch - I

Evelyn has certainly settled into the new normal again. It was not something ideal or something that she had imagined to happen in her life but it was just something that she had to deal with.

College was a new distraction for her to distract herself from her father's death and his constant absence.

She almost welcomed it in her life before realising that college would only go on for so long and after that she would have to figure out her life when the Alessandro family would give her the green light to leave.

What would she do then? Where would she go? The uncertainty killed her because she practically had no family now. Given that no one would care for her without the money that she was receiving or about the protection that she had now, Evelyn did not take much time to realise that she actually had nowhere to go.

For the brunch today, as it had finally come, Evelyn wore a white dress that came down to her knees. It had sleeves of net with patterns on it. She wore flats with it and let her hair open for this. It had waves in it because she had slept with the braid last night.

She checked herself once more in the mirror before walking out of the room, closing it behind her and then walked into the kitchen where she knew she would find Alexis.

"Good morning," she wished in the language of her country.

Alexis smiled, "good morning," she said in Italian but then switched back to English, "unfortunately that is the only thing I know how to say best in Italian. So you have to forgive me for the rest."

"No worries," Evelyn chuckled as she switched back to English too. With Angelo she spoke in Italian but with Alexis she talked in English.

"Okay so," Alexis clapped her hands as she looked up from inspecting the food laid out on the countertop, "just so you know, it's going to be our family that is Angelo, me and our children Lucas, Bella Rosa and Salvatore including marcelo. Then it is going to be my father in law Gabrielle, my father could not make it this time, and the family of Angelo's brother."

Evelyn nodded. "Bella Rosa is married?" She had heard it from her father who had been invited to Bella Rosa's wedding but she was not quite sure.

"Yes, she is." Alexis confirmed with a smile. "She is married to Antonio Rosario. They have two kids, twins. Don't really try to get a reaction out of Antonio. It does not really talk that much." He was a man of less words. He always talked to the extent of where the matter was clear and that was it. The most words as she had received from him was when they questioned his intentions regarding their daughter.

Evelyn nodded. Her initial plan was to stay quiet and away from everyone and only talk when addressed to. "Do you want any help?" She asked out of politeness not wanting to take their care for granted.

"Sure," Alexis pointed to the trays as she picked up one, "you can start by keeping these on the dining table. The maids are going to follow us too." Just as the mistress of the house spoke, three maids appeared and picked up the trays in their hands and started walking out of the house to wear the brunch table was kept.

Evelyn placed the tasty looking muffins. She was definitely eating these. Everything looked devine.

"What the names of the twins?" Evelyn asked Alexis. She did not want to be seen more of an outsider out and she already was.

"Vittoria and Alessio." Alexis said with a soft smile on her face. "They are very cute children however trust me on this day can be very nasty." A cold shudder ran through her. The kids could be horrendous if they wanted to. Her kids had been far better.

"Mama?"

Alexis smiled and turned around. "Salvi! First as always!" She grinned and walked to her son who stared at someone behind her.

That was Evelyn.

His Evelyn.
