Change of fates: The assassin wife takes over

[Status: Ongoing] ***I update when I can and have time*** ~~~~~ "I can't help but love you, even though I try not to." ~~~~~ “Every time you speak all I hear is the shrieking of a dying cat!” “Well, every time you speak I want to strangle myself!” They both shared a small silence after their statements. “Screw you, Lewis!” Clair humphed and turned her heels, changing her direction to her bedroom. “Lewis? Did you just call me Lewis?” James’s eyes turned wide as he marched after her. “Yes, and?”
“Well screw you too Ainara.” Clair gasped. “You dirty little-“
“You started this first!” Oh, she begged to differ. “You man child!” “Are you seriously speaking right now? You’re acting like a child yourself!” “Whatever I’m out of this stuffy palace!” “If you’re going to run away at least don’t announce it. Look how that turned out for you last time.” He mocked. “Well, third times the charm! L-E-W-I-S” She raised her hand picking up her pace as he still followed behind her persistently. He suddenly stopped and said, “Fine. You can try to run away I don’t care.” Clair halted her steps and turned around. “Really?” She asked. He could imagine literal hearts in her eyes right now. Not responding he turned around and walked to the opposite direction where his room was, only to realize they had the same bedroom! He then turned around and entered their room, slamming the door shut. Clair scoffed and ran down the hall to make her grand escape. ….. A few minutes later, If the guards who were trying to help up their unconscious fellow guards, didn’t witness their King pick up their Queen and drop her on his shoulder like a bag of potatoes, they would have thought he was carrying their Queen’s corpse. With her head hanging low Clair groaned. “You said I could escape.”
“No, I said you could try.” ******* Cold-blooded.Cruel.Demoness.Killer. That’s what they labeled her as, not that they were wrong. She was feared amongst all killers, many said the devil himself was afraid of her. But others insisted she was the devil herself! This was the way she survived, the way she trained herself for the most important day of her life. The day she could take revenge on the man who had stolen all her family members from her. Saved by her adopted father in the attempt to give up on her own life, she received a new identity and chance. Just when she thought she was able to put her past away, someone shows up with the intention of marrying his son off to her. Since when did she get men as offerings? Sure she was a goddess, but guys chill out! "It was love at first sight!" Her adopted father insisted. The way they both tried to strangle each other as soon as they met, was love at first sight? What are we? What have we become? -------- (TW's: mentions of sexual assault, r@pe, and suicide.) Instagram: Author_lizmorgan Discord: lizmorgan#9231 Discord Link: https://discord.gg/pA7JTjngJv

Chapter Thirteen: Leonardo Lukas Yves

A few hours later Yaci and Clair arrived back at Country B, City A.There were few people on the plane so after all of them were gone Yaci and Clair exited the plane. Anyways, it is not like anyone would expect a person like her to go on a plane with many people on it but Clair prefers to not use the private jet.

This is because Clair did not want to attract unnecessary attention aside from that, unless it is a super important or an emergency flight she would never use her family's private Jet. This occasion rarely happens to her but to her brother, he would do so quite often for safety and work purposes.

Even if her ticket came in first class she still would have to get in line, wait for her food, and stay in one specific space. She did not feel the need of wasting money on getting a luxurious private jet only for herself when she could get to the same place without wasting much money. Despite being a billionaire she would never use her money recklessly. There were greater and more useful things she could do such as donating it to orphanages.

She would not just donate the money but also make sure to visit the orphanages but visit the kids at least twice a month. She grew up without parents and any family so she understood that even if she lives in luxury and has everything she needs it will never make her family come back. But knowing that the people who donate will come and visit you and genuinely care for you is something that can fill up anybody's heart.

She didn't ever get to experience this so she planned on helping others instead.

Everything would just be perfectly balanced for her. At times she wonders if she will ever get bored of such a lifestyle.

Maybe a little change isn't that bad but after all, right now she is still taking things one step at a time. She was not sure if this related to how she had to plan and wait for her victim's next move when she was an assassin or because this time she wanted to experience a bit of making choices. Five years ago the only choice she allowed herself to have was revenge so either reason would make sense.

When she was about to walk out Clair placed her shades on.

When they came out instead of 1 car 3 cars were waiting there. Clair stopped and Yaci who was behind her did the same. Clair took her shades off and looked back at Yaci."Yaci go check it out."She ordered with a frow. Yaci nodded."Leave it here I will take care of it."Clair said referring to Yaci's luggage.

At that moment somebody came in from out of the car. Yaci froze and looked straight into the eyes of the man. He is no other than Clair's adoptive brother Leonardo Lukas Yves or Lukas.behind him came his assistant who was driving their car.

Clair arched an eyebrow as she witnessed both Yaci and Lukas staring at each other admiring their features as if they had all the time in the world."So is there a staring contest I was not informed about?"Clair asked with a hint of humor in her voice. Lukas coughed and looked at his sister with a sheepish smile. Yaci gave him a poker and looked away.

"Sis!" He said, finally taking notice of her. Lukas hugged her and Clair kissed his cheek."What are you doing here?"She asked."Dad informed me that you will be arriving today and since I have arrived earlier he asked me to pick you up and bring you home."Clair nodded and Lukas' assistant placed both Yaci's and Clair's luggage in the trunk he then opened the door for them.

Before getting in, Clair turned to face her brother."Who's in the other two cars?"She asked."I am not sure one is what the guard's dad told me to bring along and the other I believe it's from someone else. They must have taken the plane that arrived right after mine."He explained.

Clair didn't say anything and went inside. Lukas waited for Yaci to enter but to his surprise, she was already opening the door to the front seat. She then sat down and closed it. Clair looked at her brother's dumbfounded expression and gave him a mocking look. He scoffed and got inside.

His assistant sat on the driver's seat and turned on the car. The car behind them followed behind shortly after.

A man inside the 3rd car looked at the leaving car Clair had entered and frowned. His driver then drove away from the airport too.

Inside the car, Yaci passed Clair the same iPad as before and Clair took it from her hands. Clair immediately got to work to not waste any time. Yaci also started organizing papers.

"You're such a workaholic," Lukas complained. Clair stopped her hand movements and looked up at her brother."If you are so bored then get yourself a wife to entertain you."She mocked.

"Humph! I already happen to have my eyes on someone."Lukas replied with a proud expression and glanced at Yaci.

Yaci did not pay attention and indifferently worked on organizing the papers in her hands. Looking at the disappointed look on her brother's face Clair looked at Yaci and laughed mockingly.

"Good luck with that."She gave him a thumbs up and got back to work. Looking at how his sister did not hold back on mocking him Lukas rolled his eyes and turned to look out the window.

He did not notice the small smile that played in Yaci's lips. The smile didn't last long because it disappeared as soon as it appeared. Clair, who noticed it and chuckled, then continued her work as if nothing happened.
