A very Dome breakfast

The dishes were that of a luxurious spectacle.

A5 wagyu cooked to the perfect temperature with the perfect amount of butter on top of it, and the mashed potatoes were cooked in the way that John and Lily preferred.

The life of a King and Queen hand-in-hand was what they had gotten used to.

They had a 5-star Michelin chef as cooks in their house like it was a casual run-of-the-mill nobody of a chef, where would all this luxury end?

"Mr. Dome... Mrs. Dome is the food to your liking?"

"Yes Tom," Lily said with the most beautiful voice John had ever heard.

"Sarah please be a dear and hand me napkins for my wife and I", smiling in such a wife that flustered even the attendants.

This made Lily furious.

Though she knew her husband would never cheat on her, she couldn't help but rethink having female workers in the house.

Maybe they should change to purely machine work in the Mansion because even with all that luxury they were kind of outdated. People hardly ever cooked, or even did work in general it was the job of machines.

The job of humans was to work alongside so-called machines to prevent unforeseen accidents.

The future really was bright, and it brought her great comfort to know that she and her husband were a very crucial part of it.

Shortly after left she returned with a few napkins for the couple.

"Mr. Dome here is the napkins you requested."

"Oh, thank you very much, Sarah." He then looked to all the attendants admiring them eat, "The rest of you guys may leave, my wife would like some privacy".

John announcing things like that always made her shy and her face was all red.

She looked down in total embarrassment all flustered.

Reaching in to pinch her husband and in an extremely low voice said to him "You didn't have to say it like that Jonnie."

Teasingly with an annoying smile on his face, John asked his wife "Oh, so you're ashamed of my love for you?"

"Oh, never it's not like that but you can..."

John stood up cutting her short.

"No Lily we are about to run out of time you know that our mini party," he said with a cough then continued "in the bedroom took so much time."

This seemed to make Lily more flustered.

*Cough*

Lily couldn't help but blush.

"Jonnie, don't say things like that."

John picked a napkin and put it between her neck and her chest then picked up another one and put it between her lap.

"Jonnie"

She blushed even more.

"Thank you for the assistance." her mood then changed into a more serious mood as she picked up a gold fork in her left hand and a gold knife in her right hand, but she did not start eating yet.

John went back to his seat and prepped himself as well putting a napkin on the places that matter.

"Lily, would you like us to pray?"

"Yes, sure why not?"

"Ok"

"As we have all the things we have today, I would like to give thanks to all those who helped us along the way. May all our problems be just problems of the past as we continue to move forward in prosperity." Lily praying put John in a trance where he couldn't speak just admire his wife and all her kindness, wisdom, and beauty.

Lily put her utensils down, got up carried the wine that wine that had a plastic cork titled 'Dome' She looked at John and smiled.

Instantly she knew why the bed felt so empty the previous night.

She never questioned her husband even if she was brutally unaware of the content of the so-called 'research' that he was working on the previous.

"Late night again, Huh?"

No answer from John.

She walked towards him and kissed him on the cheek "Jonnie you need to be getting more sleep".

"I know Lily, last night was just too crowded. I thought that I was going to finish on time."

"My husband, always too engrossed in his work. Too busy even for me"

"NEVER!"

Immediately she uttered those words John was changed from calm to rushed rage not at his wife but at the idea of him being too busy to attend to his wife.

He would always tell himself that men who couldn't make time for their wives were useless cowards and that could never be him.

"Sorry Lily I didn't mean it."

He got up Lily was already behind him hugging him.

She was the only woman that truly knew him.

John had never raised his voice like that at her before and she knew the reason.

Was that her attempt at a joke?

And if it was, had she made a mistake somewhere?

She uncorked the wine and poured some out for her husband.

At this time the environment in the room had quieted and become awkward, Liliy had gone back to her seat, and John sat back down unable to express himself to his wife.

All he could think about was looking for a way to please her and that was even the main reason for the vacation in the first place.

"Mr. Tom!"

John called the name of his butler who was his chauffeur, driver, and a close friend of his family.

A few seconds later Mr. Tom appeared out of nowhere.

"Mr. Dome, you called?"

"Yes, I would like it if you could arrange for our clothes to be packed. We will be at that venue for a while, also arrange for Sarah and Layla to come with us. All the people that I have invited please make sure you resend the invitation, so they don't forget."

In all honesty who was going to forget an invitation from John Dome himself?

"Is that all, Mr. Dome."

"That should be it Mr. Tom"

Lily then added, "Would you like to tag along with us Tom?"

"As long as Mr. Dome does not mind."

Lily looked at her husband who had a blank face on, though she knew what it meant, she also knew he wanted Mr. Tom there with them.

But where were they going?

"Of course, I would love for you to join us."

Mr. Tom took a bow and exited the dining room.

John and Lily silently at their food with the wine.

When they had finished, a batch of freshly cut fruit was served.

In the end the Breakfast was a spectacle for both of the couple
