Falling for Ya

"Hawkmoth?! What?! How?!" You exclaim after your initial shock.

Although, it isn't truly Hawkmoth, it's just his civilian form.

"That is nothing of your concern, you are merely bait!" He responds, reaching to grab the fist you raised.

You back away from him, getting ready to swing.

"Oh please." He sneers, moving away as you punch at him.

You keep punching and kicking, but barely do anything.

It feels like a long time, but must only be a few seconds.

Suddenly he grabs your arm and twists it behind you, making you groan in pain.

"Ow! What are you doing?!" You grunt as he starts pulling you towards the edge of the Tower.

"The reasoning for your being here is about to arrive." He responds, turning you to see Cat Noir racing towards you.

You don't know whether to be relieved or scared for you both.

You can't really see it, but you think his appearance changes again.

"Oh Cat Noir! You better hurry!" He yells in a girlish voice.

He's reached the edge of the Tower now, and is holding you against the railing.

You remember what happened with Felix and hope you don't get a repeat of that experience.

As Cat gets closer you feel yourself hoisted up and over the railing.

"You can stop with the illusions, Volpina! Where's y/n?!" Cat yells.

"Why, she's right here!" Hawkmoth responds in the same feminine voice, jiggling you up and down by the arm.

You hiss as a sharp pain shoots through your arm.

"Yeah, right!"

"So you don't mind if I drop her?" He asks, shaking you again.

"Would you stop that?!" You yell.

You think you hear Cat gasp.

"If you give me your miraculous I won't do it."

You try to angle your head to be able to look down to where he's making his way up the side of the Tower, and can somewhat see him.

He bites his lip, and looks down, then looks up again with a scared face.

"Tick Tock!" Hawkmoth says, once again shaking you.

"How can I be sure if this is real?"

"I could drop her, and if she splatters or not then we'll know!"

"You could not! Cat, it's me, but don't give him your miraculous!" You shout.

Cat's mouth moves, but you can't hear anything.

"You better give it, or else y/n here is gonna start slipping! Oh no!" Hawkmoth says with a false tone of fear, while starting to loosen his grip.

"Stop! Don't drop her!"

"Yeah, don't drop me!"

Before Hawkmoth can say anything you hear a zinging sound and suddenly he's yanked away, dropping your arm and letting you free fall.

You let out an involuntary scream, hearing Cat Noir's yells as well.

"Cat! Help!"

"I'm coming!!" He yells, and you try to twist around to be able to see him.

You can't figure out where he is, but you do find the ground coming up at you quickly.

Unable to tell how far away it is, you try and brace yourself, but it's unnecessary as Cat grabs you out of the air, and holds on tightly as the momentum causes you to spin.

"I've got you, I've got you." He whispers, over and over.

He takes out his staff and extends it to the ground, coming to a stop.

"Oh, Cat! I- I thought, I didn't-" You mumble, holding tightly to him.

"Shh, it's ok, you're alright." He whispers, hugging you.

"Ok, I gotta run and help, you go hide!" He says as he pulls away.

"But I can help! Did you get Kaalki back?"

"Sorry Angel, I couldn't, Hawkmoth took them all."

"Oh." You say dejectedly, and he starts to go back up the tower, but you suddenly remember something.

"Cat, wait!"

"What is it?" He asks, turning around.

"That was Hawkmoth! The one hanging me over the Tower!"

"What do you mean? It was Volpina. Lila."

"No, no, he came and got me, but he looked like you! And then he turned into your dad! Then I guess he changed into Volpina."

"But how? That's not a power Hawkmoth has."

"I don't know, just be careful!"

"I will, you too!"

He starts flinging himself upwards now, and you watch him appear smaller and smaller before you run to hide.

I don't know what y/n meant when she said Volpina is actually Hawkmoth, but when I arrive to the top of the Tower I see Ladybug and Carapace fighting someone new.

Well, not new, but different.

Now they're fighting Queen Wasp, while also trying to dodge her bees.

"Cat! Over here, quick!" Ladybug calls as soon as I'm up.

I run over to them, while Carapace calls for his Shellter.

"What's going on?!" I ask as the bees start trying to penetrate the forcefield.

"We don't know! Volpina changed to Queen Wasp, and now it looks like The Collecter has made a reappearance!" Ladybug exclaims, and points to where my father's akumatized persona is trying to gather the Shellter into his book.

"That's what y/n said, he was changing, but how?!"

"I can't figure it out. Hawkmoth can't do that, can he?!"

"I don't think so!"

"Uhh, dudes?! I don't think this is gonna hold through that!" Carapace says, looking to where my own akumatized self stands, gathering a large white Cataclysm.

"What do we do?! Is there an akumatized object?!"

"Not that I've seen! Nothing stays the same!" Ladybug responds, sounding panicked.

At that moment the Cataclysm is released, and the Shellter starts to crumble.

"We need a plan!" I yell over the shattering sounds.

"Should I use my Lucky Charm?!"

"I don't know what else to do!"

She calls for it, and while she's trying to figure out what to do, Carapace is mentioning his rapidly decreasing time limit.

"Get yourself down and retransformed as fast as possible!" I tell him, and he quickly runs off.

"I have no idea what to do with this!?" Ladybug yells, holding up her Lucky Charm, which is just a piece of wood.

But now as Timebreaker is skating toward us, Ladybug seems to get it and throws the wood at her feet, causing her to trip.

She falls to the ground, and we both run over to try and find anything, but suddenly instead of Timebreaker lying there, it's Lady Wifi, who starts shooting pause buttons at us.

"I'm gonna detransform soon!" Ladybug reminds me.

"Then it's a good thing I'm back!" Carapace says, running up.

"A very good thing, you guys hold on, I'll be back in a flash!" Ladybug yells as she runs off.

"Dude, watch out!" Carapace yells.

I just barely dodge a blast of some sort, and look to see who it came from.

Great.

"You do NOT wanna get hit by those! Look out!" I warn, as Reflekta is shooting at him.

"Guess we don't have to worry about that one anymore!" He responded, as now it's Horrificator shooting goo at us.

I do notice an extremely small locket or necklace thing stuck in the slime before the figure changes again, Simon Says now.

"Simon says give me your miraculous!" He says, starting to throw cards.

"Cat Noir says 'WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?!'"

"I. Am. The. Ultimate. Akuma." The shape shifter responds, changing form with each word.

"Dude. We are gonna need so much more help." Carapace says as Ladybug arrives again.

Hopefully she just saw that display, so we don't have to waste time catching her up.

How on earth are we gonna defeat this thing?
