Another World

"Oh my," he looked around and calmly assessed his situation.

Surrounding him there were all sorts of people, hair colors and creatures that appeared to be half-human. The structures were made of stone and brick.

He mumbled, "I appear to be in a populated area, possibly the capital of a country."

He felt the gaze of people on him. Of course, he wasn't surprised. He was a young man with short black hair styled in a messy fashion and above-average height. He was skinny and pale but combined his expensive black trench coat, which he wore over a long-sleeved white shirt, he gave off a cold vibe and had a calm, quiet demeanor.

The uniqueness of his appearance caused people to look at him as though they were looking at something strange. Furthermore, they were wearing armor and cheap clothing. It gave off a certain vibe, so naturally, he was the odd one out.

He put his hands in his pockets and said quietly, "I'm in a different world..."

...

Jack Faust was in a certain state in America. He lived 18 years. If you could describe his life in a single word, it would be "dreadful."

His current occupation could be described as a "soldier for hire." He did anything for money, whether it be killing, stealing, information gathering, infiltration, etc.

He was abandoned at the age of 6. He managed to get hired by a company due to the high pay, he kept taking jobs. He didn't feel anything after his first kill, which was said to be the hardest.

Within 5 years in that line of work, he began to be known as the "hollow vampire" due to his appearance and inability to feel emotions.

But in reality he was hiding something sinister inside of him.

"Brought to another world against my will..." he looked over at a vendor and saw a client pay using a copper coin. They used a different currency.

"Well, that's to be expected... I'll need to find a way to make money." As he walked down the street, he saw an alleyway and made his way in.

He quickly pulled out his gun and loaded it before putting it back into his coat. He grabbed a folding knife from inside his coat and put it into his pocket.

"Who knows what I'll encounter here," he said, nodding slightly. He leaned against the wall and thought about the things he'd observed.

"This world isn't all too advanced, and the only similarities with Earth are the atmosphere and a few humans I passed by. I can also somewhat understand their language, though some words are different."

He looked at the brick wall and then to the roof of the building. He decided to climb up to the top. Suddenly he heard two sets of male footsteps. He looked over and saw them block the exit.
