Mr. Balt was frozen for a while from where he was standing. He gaped at the two people and watched as Mr. Denver entered the car.
After the old man entered, his eyes moved toward Sofia. Coincidentally, the teen slightly inclined her head to an angle where her gaze met his.
Although their distance is not near, Mr. Balt could feel Sofia's eyes scrutinizing him. Not only she had seen through his façade, but she also knew that he was listening to them!
'Could it be that she already noticed me since I stepped out?' Mr. Balt instantly thought when Sofia's eyes landed on him.
He was certain that Sofia really looked at him before she entered the car. Soon after, the silent sound of the engine could be heard as the vehicle started moving away from the parking lot.
Mr. Balt stared at the side of the moving car until it was out of sight. "Did she mean to deliberately speak those words for me to hear it?" he muttered in deep thought.
