Chapter 85

In the hotel Sam sat looking at her engagement ring, happy and content with how things turned out. Her life was finally getting on track. She had the most amazing man in her life and a real future again. 

Nick sat next to her on the couch and took her hand with the ring and kissed it, saying, "You know you can change your mind, right? I'll wait for you no matter what you decide. No rush. I'm not going anywhere."

"Heck no. Nick I love you so much. You are never getting this ring back. You're stuck with me. But… what if I told you I don't want to get in the ring just yet? Do you think I could wait say... a year?" She looked over to him. "Would you be disappointed in me if I took some time to decide?"

"It's your life and your decision. I just want you to have options. You were held back for so long, and Brad took your dreams from you. I want to give them back if that is what will make you happy."

"You wouldn't be upset with me?"
