While waiting for the flight schedule, Charlie and I stayed at the hotel. He didn't let me do anything after attending the church service held in the hotel. I relaxed on the sofa, eating a slightly hard and sour green mango, realizing it revealed my pregnancy.
I preferred fresh fruits or warm food, disliking strong-smelling sausages and overpowering spices. Even rose-scented and citrus perfumes were unpleasant to me.
"Angelica..."
A familiar voice from the door diverted my attention. It was Renee, walking toward me with a large suitcase, looking beautiful in a black suit and a long gray robe.
"I saw the news about last night," she said with a smile.
Blushing, I smiled back as she hugged me.
"I suspected he loved you deeply and would propose!" she exclaimed, releasing the embrace. "I'm so happy for you, Angelica. You shouldn't be sad anymore..."
I nodded, understanding she meant not to be sad about losing my mother.
