Celestial Elves' Survival Game

Celestial Elves, a race of Celestial beings, bargained with the world leaders of Earth to not destroy the planet if they could offer them an appreciable number of prisoners as compensation for not destroying their world. The leaders gathered around and agreed to their terms. After all, what could be better than such a deal. These were just a bunch of cutthroat criminals and misfits. A thorn to the society at large. The world leaders would be glad to let these bands of miscreants leave their homeland as soon as possible. And so a deal was struck with the Celestial beings, with the inhabitants of the world at large oblivious to this knowledge except for the world leaders of course. A total of 80,000 criminals charged with a death sentence would be enough to placate the Celestials urge for destruction. And here’s where our protagonist comes into play. Ace Tempest, an eighteen year old undergraduate, was incarcerated for the murder of his father who in turn was at fault for the domestic violence he implements while at home.  Thrown into a prison facility just like the rest of the criminals, Ace had no choice but to take part in this survival game where players who suffered in-game deaths would surely follow a similar fate in real life. But that wasn't all, since the players were in another world, the inhabitants of Earth had already forgotten the players even existed. Now what will he do since both his mother and sister had forgotten all about him? Will he strive to win the 1,000,000,000 dollar reward or will something totally unexpected occur to him in the game. If you don't wanna miss it then come and join the fun. Thanks. [[ Warning!! Contains Mature Content and Gore.]] Please, all events that occurred in this novel is completely fictional. 28. Next Target 3.

I hate to admit it, but I'm a bit jealous right now.

"Did you fight during these past two days?" I asked, trying to avoid giving her a response.

But she nodded adorably, like how Alice used to do whenever she got excited.

And I couldn't help feeling mesmerized by this.

'I hate to admit this as well, but she is cute,'

Of course, I didn't say this out loud but decided to keep my expression as neutral as possible.

"It wasn't easy…." Jasmine said with a saddened tone while looking at her hands which were still bandaged.

She had been cautiously trying to avoid getting her bandages soaked while cleaning the dishes earlier.

The way she also held the bowls and spoons with her trembling hands, made me realize that her hands hadn't completely healed, either.

'Doesn't this make her even more amazing, considering she used these same hands to fight against the kobolds while I was resting in here all this while,'

But there was no way, I was going to admit this as well. Something tells me, if I were to give her the reply she wanted, I would probably regret it for a long time.

While I was resting here during the past two days, Jasmine had been going to the caves to accumulate experience points, hence why her experience point was what it was right now.

Jasmine continued in her usual relaxed and friendly tone

"I tried to focus solely on clearing the kobolds I found in the caves, which were six in total, while checking up on the labyrinth to see if it was still there,"

Wow! So, she cleared six caves in two days, which contained a total of thirty goblins?

She probably cleared three caves on the first day, while the remaining caves were done the next day.

She did all this, intending to obtain enough gold coins from the caves to get herself a healing potion.

Jasmine also took her time to check up on the labyrinth. If it were to be gone, then it means someone had cleared it.

"So?" She asked, still waiting to hear what I had to say about her status.

"It's okay..... I guess," I replied indifferently with a shrug, as though her stats were not truly amazing.

This was the best I could come up with. If I could, I would probably pat myself on the back for not admitting defeat.

"What!!" She fumed, but her facial expression instantly turned into a cute pout.

The rising heat of rage surrounding her suddenly cooled once again.

I guess she could understand how I felt, if I had been awake during the two days I was asleep, I would have probably leveled up by now.

"Then let me see yours?"

"Uh?... What? … Mine?" I was taken aback, sweats began to accumulate on my forehead as she draws closer to me.

Now she wants mine?

I knew things would get to this point, but I didn't think things would move so fast.

"Yeah, yours," She repeated, moving close to me while I tried to create a space between us.

"Let me see yours," She asked once again, but I could see how annoyed she was becoming.

It was your choice to show me yours, I don't have to show you mine just because you want to see it.

Jasmine noticed I wasn't going to show her my stats, even after she kept pestering me.

Eventually, she sighed, admitting defeat. "Fine, you don't have to show me if you don't want to,"

She said with a saddened tone.

Now I feel like a pr**k for not showing her mine.

Thinking back, she saved me, even though we barely knew each other, and she provided me with clothing, food, and shelter as well.

I think she deserves to see what she wants after all.

"Wow! Not bad, I guess," said Jasmine as I showed her my status.

"Although, with experience points and skills like these, you won't last long in the game if you don't improve your level soon,"

I already knew this before now. I don't need a reminder.

The truth is, I never really anticipated I could ever sleep for two whole days.

Silence ensued between us as I felt a bit hurt, not by her words but by the fact that, now, others were far ahead of me in terms of strength, experience, and skills.

These past two days are enough for half the population of players in the game to be one step ahead of me.

And the thought of this only made me feel more uneasy.

Jasmine noticed the dejected look on my face.

Maybe she felt saddened by the way my mood changed because she inhaled deeply before sighing.

"Here, Take this," Jasmine offered me something. She used it to poke me, bringing me out of my trance.

"A skill book?"

"Yeah, take it,"

"But….why?" I was flabbergasted by this abrupt kind gesture.

Well, knowing her now, I'm not too surprised by her kind demeanor. Isn't she a bit too nice to be a murderer?

She first offered me a skill book when we faced the Minotaur, even though we barely knew each other.

And now, she was doing the same thing once again. I stared into her eyes, expecting an explanation.

"Don't ask me stupid questions and just take it," She said, trying to avoid making eye contact.

Oh well, this is my chance to obtain a brand-new skill, I shouldn't be too annoyed about getting stronger in this game where others are a lot stronger than me now.

I wonder what type of skill book she offered me this time around.

I opened the book right after I collected it and the word "Crafting skill" was written at the top of it.
