ESTEFAN'S POV

Her eyes widened at my question and the wheels in her head began to turn, searching for an answer that would get her off the hook.

"Oh, that." She scratched the back of her neck. "We were just joking, it's nothing you should waste your precious time on." She smiled as she pushed the door open and rush into the room.

Following right behind her, I asked, "If you were given a chance to switch husbands with Anna, would you do it?"

She stopped in her tracks and turned to me. "What?"

"You heard me, so just answer the question," I said with my face void of emotions but deep down inside of me, I was praying for her to give me the answer I wanted to hear.

"Do you want the truth?" she asked, folding her arms.

"Yes." I swallowed hard as I waited for her answer.

"If you asked me that question some weeks ago, I would have said yes," she replied which caused me to feel a pang of hurt in my chest.

"Why?" I demanded.
