Retreating

The disagreement between the two Carnal Shifters escalated owing to their differences in opinions. Regina is hellbent on sending Armstrong away from the Lycan territory while Armstrong is hellbent on staying, even at the risk of provoking a terrifying existence.

His desire to stay was further fueled when he saw the female Lycan Carnal Shifter favouring a slum outcast in whose hands he once suffered severe humiliation. He couldn't take it when Regina declared that he should leave while allowing Romeo, his enemy, to stay.

He had thought that, according to his calculations, Regina would cast Romeo out when she discovers that he is one of those low lives from the slums.

This belief of his was further strengthen as he knows that Carnal Shifters from THRIVE are usually disgusted by the presence of the slum outcasts whom they consider to be beneath them.

Unfortunately, not only did his plan go awry, but he is also being pursued away mercilessly while his archenemies stood by the side watching his embarrassing predicament. Armstrong would have thought his two enemies were conspiring against him had he not known that they just met today. He was really indignant.

"What I am trying to do has nothing to do with you. Last chance Armstrong, leave Land Climax or you cease to live." Regina threatened under her breath much to the dismay of Armstrong.

The Lycan's Armoured Elites that were surrounding Armstrong immediately activated their plasma cannons and pointed them to Armstrong and his entourage.

Armstrong's entourage also initiated their energy shields. Though they know that it is unlikely for them to survive this encounter, nevertheless, they would try their best to defend Armstrong who was on the verge of peeing himself as he saw how the situation has gone out control.

Armstrong knows that at this point, it is either his leaving or his living. The two options are something easy to choose from. Since he is a coward, Armstrong prefers to run and live to fighting and dying.

Besides, even if he were to fight, he knows that he is at a disadvantage so there is no point in fighting a battle that he would eventually lose. So he would retreat now and plan his attacks for later. Armstrong consoled himself internally that his leaving for now is not an action for surrendering but he is simply weighing the pros and cons, with the cons far outweighing the pros, and he would eventually make a terrifying comeback.

"Fine!" Armstrong gritted his teeth as he spoke, "Since you want me to leave, I would. But make no mistake, I would be back and when I am back...."

"You won't live to see the light of the next day." Regina interjected coldly with a threat.

Armstrong's expression twisted as he heard what she said but he restrained himself and beared with it. He repeatedly consoled himself by saying that he would make a comeback and when he does, all hell would be let lose.

Armstrong didn't say any more words before turning around to leave. Glancing viciously at Romeo who silently stood at a corner like a cornered rabbit, Armstrong makes sure to etch this day in his mind while vowing that he must enact his revenge, first upon Romeo, then he would come for Regina.

With that, Armstrong made his way out of the Tourist Center with his two Armoured Elites trailing him reluctantly. The Armoured Elites were also disgruntled as they couldn't believe that the opportunity they had to teach Romeo a lesson was suddenly taken away which also filled them with reluctance as they wanted to make sure that Romeo faces the consequences of stealing from them.

Only God knows how much they had anticipated this day, especially after coming across Romeo the previous day. They had been close to teaching Romeo a terrible lesson that he would never forget only to be interrupted, again. Though they were really unwilling, there is nothing they could do but follow Armstrong while hoping that they would come across Romeo again.

Romeo calmly watched as the trio left the Tourist Center with reluctance. He could guess the thoughts swirling in each of their minds and he knows that it is about time he learns to increase the potential of his Carnal Gene.

Armstrong, especially, would make sure to trouble him in the future and Romeo knows s that if that day is to come and no one is there to save him, Armstrong might really tear him limb from limb if he should remain at this level.

For this reason, Romeo sealed his mind with the intention of enrolling into that school Alfred was talking about soonest so he would get stronger. Only by becoming stronger could he hope to defend himself against people such as Armstrong.

Withdrawing his gaze from the retreating backs of the trio from the Horde Of Minotaurs, Romeo casted it on the female Lycan before him.

For some reason, Romeo could tell that the danger is yet to be fully averted as he could sense the intense gaze of Regina the moment Armstrong left upon him. This gaze of her's is something that gave him the creeps as he couldn't help but think that it is now his turn to face her backlash.

However, to his surprise, the female Lycan simply turned her petite figure away and left him. It was as though she couldn't be bothered to lash out at him or perhaps, he wasn't worth wasting her breath, at least that is what Romeo thought.

Whatever the reason may be, Romeo was glad to see that she didn't pay him any attention. He couldn't bear to suffer a backlash from another aristocratic Carnal Shifter and be made an enemy.

Heaving a sigh of relief, Romeo made his way back to the Relaxation Oasis with the intention of leaving with Alfred as soon as possible so that he could enroll into the school with immediate alacrity. The more he delays his training, the more he would suffer in the future and this is a fact that Romeo can testify to with certainty.

Regina was quite stressed after engaging in a heated word exchange with Armstrong that she barely spared a glance at Romeo.

Though the young man is quite intriguing, she made up her mind to investigate him later in the future as she has loads of work to do at the Tourist Center.

Armstrong had already taken most of her time, sparing her little to no time at all when compared with the tons of work that awaits her.

Being an heiress to the Throne of the House Of Lycans, she is quite a busy person. In fact, part of her work was to come to the Tourist Center for the purpose of inspection until she came across Armstrong.

While she could ignore him and continue with her work, she felt like it would be negligence on her part if she ignores an enemy in her territory which was the major reason she interfered in the matters between Romeo and Armstrong.

Now that she managed to wade off the enemy from her territory, she can return to her work with a mind free of worries about the schemes Armstrong might be plotting against the House Of Lycans.

Romeo finally arrived at the Relaxation Oasis and his eyes unconsciously twitched when he saw the old man still sound asleep in his massage chair.

Anger was brewing within him as he stride towards Alfred while thinking that all the troubles he went through where due to this old man insisting on staying.

Romeo felt that had they left the Tourist Center earlier, he wouldn't have encounter Armstrong neither would he have been on the verge of being attacked by two Armoured Elites who bore deep grudges against him.

If they had also left, perhaps he would be free of the watchful gaze of a powerful female Lycan. Those words his Carnal Consciousness said kept on ringing in his mind. If he turns out to be a Carnal Shifter of STRIVE, which is unlikely as his consciousness had stated that he is neither of THRIVE nor of STRIVE, then he might be deemed as an enemy.

However, Romeo felt that he is not out of the woods yet. His unique situation which made him a Carnal Shifter of none of those organizations automatically made him a target of THRIVE and STRIVE.

Judging by the words of his Carnal Consciousness, if Regina later figures out this unique attributes of his, Romeo is certain that they would come for him and he is not ready to know what would be done to him if they were to come which is why he must improve his strength as soon as possible. His consciousness told him that he is a lab experiment and Romeo is certain that he is not ready to explore the feelings of being a guinea pig for the second time.

"Come on, Alfred. It is time for us to go." Romeo said as he turns off the massage chair which immediately caused Alfred to snap his eyes open.

"What?" Alfred questions in his groggy state as he rubs his face with his palm to clear off the rest of his sleepiness.

"We got to get going, Alfred. Remember you said you know a school where I could learn to improve myself, I think it is time for you to enroll me into that school." Romeo stated as he helps Alfred to his feet.

"What time is it?" Alfred questions as he looked around the Relaxation Oasis, it seems like he wasn't listening to the words being spoken by Romeo. "Are we still in the Tourist Center?" He asks with a hint of confusion in the tone he used to spoke.

"Alfred, leave the questions for later. We have to get going to the school you promised to take me." Romeo urged him in a flustered state. He is really anxious to strengthen himself, and he wants to do it fast.

"Isn't it already late? Why don't we go back to the hotel and I would take you to the school tomorrow." Alfred suggested as the duo made their way out of the Tourist Center.

"But you promised to take me after we tour Land Climax. Are you taking your words back now?" Romeo asks in an accusing tone.

"I am not taking my words back. I just felt that it is late so I suggest we go to the school tomorrow. Don't worry, I shall take you there first thing in the morning." Alfred assures and Romeo simply replies with an exhausted sigh as the journey to the hotel began.

For the duo, that is enough sightseeing today. Tomorrow is a new day. A day which Romeo looks forward to.
