Anna stared at her reflection in the mirror and grimaced. She couldn't believe that she was doing this.

Her brother, Elijah, has yet to propose and yet here she was, dressing up to attend a wedding for someone she didn't even know.

"Stay away from Kristofer Almodiel," she mimicked Nikki's advice, slapping her hand on her forehead and letting out a groan.

"Stay away my ass," she muttered, holding her frustration in check.

"Who does he think he is?" she went on, inserting the other pair of the pearl earring on her left ear.

It was too easy to shoo Kristofer Almodiel away and leave him to deal with Anna minding her own business.

To say the least she didn't even say yes to his proposal.

However, Kristofer Almodiel knew how to play the game.

There was no way Anna would have agreed to be his plus one to a wedding of a friend of his if there was no catch.
