Heaven in your eyes

Kristofer knocked on her mother's bedroom door. He took a deep breath.

He needed to have his frustration in check, else he wouldn't be able to control the harsh words that he would use against his mother.

As much as he wanted to let his anger out, it was better for him to talk to her with a calm demeanor. His mother would remain unfazed by his anger and would even call him a child because of it.

It was a lesson he had learned a long time ago: Never respond with anger. Especially with his parents.

On the one hand, only they could be mad. Kristofer knew it sounded unfair. However, contrary to popular opinion, he didn't want to think about it that way.

Though he knew adults aren't always right, he has high respect for his parents and despite what others think; he values what he has even if his relationship with both is a little rocky.

After a few more minutes, the door to his mother's room cracked open, his mother looking at him expectantly.
