In this kind of situation, that was the logical thing to do. However, Anna couldn't seem to do so. She was frozen and uncertain how to respond.

The sincerity in Kristofer Almodiel's eyes was undeniable. Her heart started to pound so hard, she was afraid that Kristofer could hear it.

'I like you, too.' She could have said that. But, her voice seemed to have drowned. She was speechless.

This was the last thing she thought Kristofer Almodiel would say. It was never her intention for him to like her.

Anna wasn't even sure if she really felt the same.

For the past few days, she started to think that it may have been the case. Kristofer became a constant visitor in her thoughts and then there was the issue of the kiss.

When he started apologizing for kissing her, it made her think that he was regretting ever doing it. Her chest felt heavy at that thought.
