When Percy Stanton came out of the bath room, Isabel Smith seemed to have already fallen asleep in bed. He lifted the quilt, got into bed, and reached out to pull Isabel into his arms. Isabel opened her eyes and asked, "Percy, you said you had something to discuss with me tonight. What is it?"
Percy closed his eyes, opened them again, glanced at Isabel, and then looked at the exquisitely designed ceiling. After a moment of silence, he said, "Nothing important."
"Really?" Isabel's tone was clearly disbelieving.
"Yeah." Percy turned his head and looked back at Isabel.
He really wanted to ask her, did you ever have a child?
He also wanted to ask her, did you get pregnant for the man you loved? And did you invite the man you loved to your adulthood ceremony?
But as the words reached his mouth, he became somewhat spineless.
In the end, Percy simply tugged at his lips and said, "I just wanted to celebrate your successful signing with Ten Mile Prosperity."
