He felt that his patience had been pushed to its absolute limit these past few days!
The next second, Percy took his mobile phone out of his pocket, found her phone number and dialed directly.
Through the glass door, Percy watched intently as Isabel, shivering in the small garden outside from the cold, fumbled for her phone from her bag, then hesitated for a quite a while staring at the screen before answering.
About ten seconds later, Isabel's voice came through, "Hello?"
"Where are you now?" Percy stared intently at Isabel, not too far away, and asked in a calm tone.
Isabel took a deep breath, tried to steady her voice which was trembling from the cold, and lied casually, "I'm at Grandma's house."
"Uh-huh." Percy's voice sounded as usual, clear and nonchalant, "When will you come back?"
Isabel hesitated for a moment, "I may have to wait a while, I really have something to do tonight, why don't you go to sleep first?"
The other end of the phone fell silent.
