Hope

As sunlight entered my sight, I sat upright from the bed and stretched because of the awkward position that I was in earlier whilst sleeping. My hands made their way to search for the warmth of someone that I had longed for, but the only thing that they found was a space in where Aiden was supposed to be. Clearly confused, I turned my head to the side to double-check but still found nothing. As a vibrant frown made its way up to my face, sadness decided to take a toll upon me.

I stood up from the bed and made my way towards the restroom to freshen up.

“I’ll go freshen up and start my or--our day”, I said to myself giggling and referring to the sweet and innocent soul inside of me. Though it isn't confirmed if I was pregnant or not but now I wanted to be--now, I desired to be a mother.

Unconsciously, I caressed my stomach and thought of how much of a beautiful life that I would owe to this child, a small smile tugged at the end of my lips at the sweet and wholesome thought.
