Can You Trust Me?

"Urgghhh…" Francis suddenly fell on his knees and vomiting blood. His face turned really pale and he look so weak. I, who had just entered his office, hurriedly took a handkerchief and approached him. "What happened? This is not your first time vomiting blood!" I asked, pretending to panic. I knew the reason why he was in this state, it was because I poisoned him. "Cough… cough…" he coughed as he was vomiting blood. "I'm fine. As you said this is not my first time vomiting blood so I can handle it." He said after he stopped vomiting blood. "But I guess you have to stop pretending." He paused and moved his body closer to me. "Charlize," he whispered right to my ears. He still looked so weak due to the poison but he seemed like already used to it. "I know it is you who make me in this state." ------------- Hi everyone!!!  Thank you for supporting me this far, and sorry for not continuing this work. Somehow I lost my pace and mood regarding this work, so I just can't continue. This story actually ended with Francis and Olivia living happily ever after as the crown prince and princess, with their supporter still working with them. Once again, I'm sorry about this, and thank you for your support. I will be back with a new and fresh story see you

The War (Francis POV)

It had been a month since I won the spar with Roosevelt. People started to treat me differently since then. Everyone started to consider me as the most powerful crown prince candidate. I knew that they tried to be on my good side to achieve what they wanted.

In this one month, the Ashford family were more silent than usual. They lost their influence because of that sparing. Even some of their supporters thought to change their side and seek my good side.

That morning, the meeting talked about the attack from the Greria Empire. Their army had crossed the border and took over three villages. "This is an urgent matter. I think it will be better if our first prince goes to the border and takes our villages back." Duke Ashford stated his opinion.

Weird. Why didn't he suggest his nephew go to the border? If I won the battle, I was the one who got the benefit. It would be better for his nephew to go so they could raise their influence. There must be a reason behind it.
