Chapter 015

Quite an annoying weekend, this morning I was scolded by my mother for refusing her order to send someone's order. Not with obvious reasons I refused, I just said that I was lazy and didn't want to travel at all today.

Mom was angry, she didn't stop giving me spiritual showers until she left this house and preferred to take her alone. I actually feel sorry for mom, she is tired of the boutique business, I understand that she should rest today. However, I just messed it up because I had to wash that guy's damn alma mater.

I swear that the man named Leo I will consider as my enemy from now on. Again, I'm upset because the weather outside is cloudy, how can I dry it? Oh God, I promise tomorrow I will go to church, this time please raise the sun.

Five minutes passed, ten minutes became meaningless for me who waited for God to answer my prayer. It's useless, I think God is already very angry with me because I rarely worship.

I prefer to walk to the front yard area, I will still dry it even though I think the sun will still hide behind dark clouds. As long as it doesn't rain, then everything will be fine.

"Angel, I keep my thick jacket in your room, think of it as one of my farewell gifts." My body managed to rotate and found the presence of Verrel who was pulling his suitcase. Yes, the man was going back to Canada, the one month he said was for vacation was shortened to one week. What else can we do? His father had gone berserk and told him to go home immediately and take care of the abandoned company.

I think his mom and dad have forgotten that we're still one family, only Verrel remembers me and mom.

"Tch, why did you give it to me?" He came closer and stroked my hair, "who knows you suddenly miss me, you can hug that and dream if it's me. Besides, I don't think I can vacation here again in the near future."

I really wanted to squeak, but seeing how he was smiling at me made me rush to hug him. Ah, that sucks, we used to be so close like postage stamps, now we're separated and see each other at least once a year.

"Remember, don't bother auntie, okay? You have to obey her sometimes so you don't get mad at her like that."

Just so he knows, I'm a diligent kid and not a dissident, but because of that damn man I have to spend my time paying attention to his alma mater today.

"I just occasionally disobey." I dodged which gave me a soft smack on the top of my head.

"Come on, let me go, I might miss my flight if you hold on to me."

He let go of my hand that was wrapped around his waist, cupping my face with a smile before placing a long kiss on my forehead.

"I'm back, okay? Take good care of aunt and yourself here, if you need anything just let me know. Also, you should go to church often on Sundays, don't be such an unbeliever."

My lips clicked in annoyance to hear his spiritual splash, he kissed my forehead again before removing his hands from my face.

"Sorry I can't take you to the airport, I'll follow you there later." I saw he just nodded his head before getting into the car he rented from the airport.

He's really gone, my house will return to being quiet again because I don't find him who always bothers me every day.

I looked up at the sky which still showed no sign that it would free the sun from its cage, I smiled wryly before walking back in and closing the door.

Lonely, that's what I felt when I explored every inch of the room in this house, I took a deep breath while carrying the laundry basket inside.

Knock knock!

I stopped when I heard someone knocking on the door from outside. Let me guess, it must be Verrel who accidentally left his stuff, you reckless.

"You forgot—"

My words successfully stopped when I found the presence of a tall man who was carrying a medium-sized paper in his hand. I gulped my saliva hard because it turned out that my guess was one hundred percent wrong.

"S-senior Alaska?" After saying that, my smile grew into a crescent shape, I rubbed the nape of my neck before opening my door wide, signaling him to come in.

"My mother left this for you and your mother," ah, he was too to the point. I immediately grabbed the paper he handed right in front of me.

"Hmm, fine, thanks." My initially broad smile turned as thin as possible, maybe today our meeting was only that short. Like a dove being ordered by its master to send a letter and just walk away, that's the figure of Alaska that I saw today.

I was about to close the door again when I didn't think he wanted to talk to me any further. No problem, I can still attract his attention when in college later.

"Wait," I didn't hear wrong, did I? I smiled again and pulled the doorknob to fully open again.

"Yes, What is up?" I need to emphasize that I have to put on a face like I'm normal.

"That—give me your cell phone number," I blinked a few times, I guess I heard wrong, "huh?" I saw him take his eyes off me.

"My mother will be sending you cakes more often, I don't want to be an impromptu food delivery man forced to come here. So I can call you to pick them up yourself."

Ah, that's the case, I thought he asked for my number because he was already starting to be interested in me, but he didn't. But, I have no problem with that reasoning, at least my number is on his cell phone.

I let him in first because my cell phone was on top, he didn't refuse and landed his butt on the front sofa, his flat face still faithfully stuck there.

"Well, got it!" I exclaimed when I managed to find my cell phone which was buried by the pillow. I immediately descended the stairs to approach Alaska who was scrolling through his cell phone screen.

And, our eyes were both distracted by the loud raindrops that fell on the earth. It was raining and it managed to make me smile a little, it meant Alaska couldn't go straight back, especially what I saw was a motorbike.

"Shit, it's raining!"

"Praise God, it's raining!"

The two of them murmured so inversely, and it was time for Angel to take the opportunity he so rarely got, stealing Alaska's attention. Wish her success today.
