Alpha Arlo Bianchi - POV
"You are starting to grow on me, Bella," I whispered when I heard nothing from her. I moved forward when I saw that she was fast asleep. I slowly got up from the bed and carried her in a bridal style before I left the guest bedroom. After gently placing her in my bed, I removed the heels she was wearing and covered her body using the blanket.
I never wanted to snatch her away from Gael when he claimed that she was his chosen mate, but then my mind was clouded with the image of her scarred body. After seeing how Gael treated her in front of everyone at the ball, I know that he is not planning to just take her back to his pack and ask her to be his Luna.
Something happened back in that pack that forced her to leave, and even though I wanted to ask her about that earlier, I held myself back. She was already scared and traumatized, and I didn't want to make her even more uncomfortable right now.
