Caius and Lily's love story had been one for the ages, a tale of childhood sweethearts whose love only grew stronger with time. They were inseparable from the moment they met, and their bond deepened as the years passed. On Caius's 21st birthday, he decided it was time to make their love official. He planned an elaborate proposal, filled with flowers, music, and all the love he felt for Lily. 

However, life had a way of throwing unexpected curveballs, and Caius was no exception. Just as he was about to propose, an urgent business opportunity came knocking at his door, one that promised financial stability for their future together. He couldn't bear to disappoint Lily, so he made the difficult choice to put his proposal on hold and embark on a business trip abroad. He promised Lily that he would be back in five years at most. 

As the years stretched on, Caius stayed true to his promise. He worked tirelessly, dedicating himself to building a secure future for both of them. Every late night and missed celebration were a sacrifice he made for the woman he loved. But as the five years turned into ten, Caius grew restless, yearning to return to Lily's embrace. 

Finally, the day came when his work was complete, and he boarded a plane back to his homeland. He could hardly contain his excitement as he thought of the surprise he had planned for Lily. He imagined her face lighting up with joy as he got down on one knee, offering her the ring he had been carrying all these years. 

But as he entered the town, something felt amiss. The streets that once held memories of their love were now unfamiliar. He saw Lily from a distance, her radiant smile captivating him as it always did. His heart raced as he approached her, eager to embrace her once again. However, when they finally collided, it was as if they were strangers. Lily didn't even recognize him. She spoke to him politely but with the distance of a casual acquaintance.
