Chapter 13

We are all broken ....that's how the light gets in..

"I mean, I thought this was the only way I could, you know, atone for my mistake "

Sebastian places a green file in front of her and she knew exactly what it contained .

Aunt poll would be proud .

June tried to act surprised but she knew that eventually everything would fall into place .

"I hope that you'd forgive Alex for he has nothing to do with this ..I mean he does but you get the point"

"I get it, don't worry baby"

Of course I won't forgive him, that little snitch . Thought he was smarter than me ? I'll let him pay later ...

"I've got a conference in twenty minutes,I'll  see you later, alright baby ?"

June nodded as he kissed her . She couldn't handle him touching her . The thought of having to do this with two men made her feel dirty .

The irony of them being close friends made her laugh sometimes . But she had to do what she got to do . Everyone had to pay the price .

June waited for him to leave and instantly called her aunt .

"Guess what I have in my hands right now"

She heard a chuckle through the phone and smiled .

"Good, now we've got that done how about we handle Alex now ?"

"Why is Alex such a threat for you ?" June said as she took a glance at her recently manicured nails .

"We have to meet" was the last thing she heard before her aunt hung up .

June sighed .

June watched as her aunt recited her prayer silently, a rosary in her hand .

June's mind went to Sebastian instantly. She thought of him the conference. Did he finish it ? How did it go ?

June shook her head violently . What washer thinking of ? She couldn't stop thinking about him . But she couldn't fall for him ...no she couldn't .

He was like the forbidden fruit to her . And that only made her more excited to have him . If only aunt Poll wasn't always at guard ...if only .

She smirked as she remembered their

moments together . Maybe she wasn't that disgusted to say .

She liked how he was infatuated and almost obsessed with her . That only made her him easier but sometimes she really wished he wasn't a McClain .

She would've really enjoyed him .

"Your mind always in the gutter, huh ?"

June opened her eyes, "what can I do? I can't help it" . She leaned back against the leather chair and crossed her legs .

The room went quiet as aunt Poll went through the same green file Sebastian gave her this morning .

"He isn't playing any games, the man is in love !"

June nodded as she bit her lip, if only .....

"So...what about Alexander ?" June asked as she played with her hair casually .

Aunt Poll shut her eyes tightly before taking a manila envelope from a drawer in her desk .

"Look at this"

June eyed the envelope before opening it . She found some pictures enclosed with it . She took out the three pictures and went through them .

June clenched her jaw as she saw a face she wished would've never existed . Her father .

"What the hell aunt Poll ! Is this a sick joke ?"

"Calm your nerves down, young lady" she took the pictures out of her hand and whispered into June's ears, "use your little brain first"

She took a seat opposite of June and continued, "I knew that Alex was a double trouble when I saw him. He is obviously plotting with your father against you and more obvious than that is that he is trying to use the same weapon as us ...love" she paused, "and that explains the unusual amount of gifts and attention he gives you and also explains how he got into the form in the first place."

June felt stupid . Aunt poll always made her see things in another perspective. But that one particularly surprised her . "What should we do now ?"

Aunt Poll smiled, "we'll play along"

Alex watched the match silently with Harrison . He wasn't particularly a fan of soccer but he had to develop a liking for it since he was working under one of New York's greatest fans . That's what he thought of himself .

"How's everything going with you ?"

"Your daughter is fucking hard to manipulate in fact it's impossible ! Every time I try to get to her she gets me"

Harrison rubbed his chin, "that little girl...just like her manipulative mother"

Alexander brought the whisky glass to his mouth before smiling at the thought of June as a little girl.

She is your fucking daughter ...

"I assure you she's no longer a little girl" Alexander smirked before crossing his legs and running a hand through his golden hair . "In fact she's got a banger body and a brain of twenty men like you"

"Watch yourself Alexander" Harrison warned . "However, you can have her after you're done"

If it only was this easy ...

" I don't need your permission, if I want her I'll have her"

Harrison laughed, " I can't see results that prove this "

"Like I said she is hard to work with it and that overconfidence she has doesn't make it any easier . I wonder where she got it from" Alexander played as he watched Harrison's eyes get dark .

"Alex-"

Alexander was done of this man's ignorant conversations. "Later, Harrison"

June heard the doorbell ring again and again but she couldn't bother moving away from the warmth of her bed .

Finally, June let a sigh,  got up and wore her silk robe .

She walked lazily to the door and opened it .

"Alex ?"

Without a word Alex closed the door behind them and pinned June against the wall .

"Alex !"

Alex gripped her arms tightly and placed his lips against her neck .

June could smell the whisky lacing his breath few inches away from her face .

June moaned as he kissed her neck lazily .  "Aww baby, have you missed me ?"

Alex was surprised at her question, was she falling for him finally ? Harrison had to hear about this ..but maybe not all of it .

"You know very well that I do, June "

"Prove it"

Hey guys !! Another chapter ...are things now a little clearer ? Or what ? I mean ..wow ...even I'm surprised every time by what happens . What do yo unthinkable so far and who do you sip more ? June with seb or with Alex ?
