Broken Spear of the Gods

Wyll was back in the void of swirling grey, his head throbbing and only his heart seemed to echo in this void. "Wyll of the Purple Dragoons, you have been chosen to be my champion! Arise, champion of Chaos! Forge ahead in this war and rise to the top! I expect good things to come from you." A beacon of swirling greys and radiant red pulsed off Wyll as he rose from the rubble, the pain fading as he met eyes with the man who helped him in the alley. Tied to each was a silver thread, each exchanging glances as Askalon took a bow. "I am Askalon. I hold not the title of First Forged but something else. I am the First Mistake, the oldest living Weapon. I accept you as my Wielder O Champion of Chaos!" Everyone turned to Wyll, his eyes shining brightly as he took the hand of Askalon. The Weapon's form changed shape as, with worry, his acquaintances glared at him; the only Destroyer, Chaos, had chosen a champion. [[Welcome Wielder, I am Pandemonium, Pan for short. I am an entity tailored by Chaos for you, and it is my objective to assist you in 'The Battlefield of the Gods!' Pan will be fully operational shortly]]

First it was his mana circuits, then being chosen by {Chaos}, capable of catching a {Weapon} with his bare hands, getting him as his {Wielder}, a grand opportunity from a politician, winning some weird skills, almost dying from mana exhaustion, only for him to walk it off the next day and now something even Askalon had never heard of. Owner of a dungeon, something that was typically only available to monsters yet Wyll had managed to become one from a plane outside their own. The inability to tell Wyll where this place was from irked Askalon, making him huff as he slipped into his human form.

Wyll wasn't sure what to make of this development as Bedlam stood there and welcomed them inside. Slowly the boy stepped into the lab where tubes of various beast parts were collected as well as what looked to be a human head suspended in the liquid. This was a bit shocking as Wyll looked at the bats, finding them to be numbered weirdly as he stepped past each. Bedlam opened a nearby door and motioned Wyll to follow.

As he stepped into the room there was a large table with some weird arm like things that Wyll had never seen before as he heard a whirring, that bats from the previous room sliding against the wall nearby as a red button began to lightly flash.

["Wyll, this is the main reconstitution and construction chamber. This will allow you to make the speciality of this lab, Chimeras. These will act as anything you'd like but function better in their specification. The pieces in question are as follows; a human head with brain intact, torso of a blood drake, legs from a shadow dire wolf and lastly the arms are from a Abyssal giant squid. Combination of these parts is an eleven point six percent chance. Suggestion is to find more suitable and synergetic parts. The more pristine the pieces are, the better your chance of reconstituting them there are but if you wish to test your luck. Press the button to begin"]

Wyll wasn't sure what to do or even say as he huffed, crossing his arms abit when the soft sound of a wind chime sounded and a small window popped up.

{Greedy Gambler Who Doesn't Lose Twice}: "If you push the button I will give you some coins so you can gamble more. I have good intuition and this is lighting up my senses kid."

Wyll groaned, these damn {Celestials} and their want for entertainment was killing Wyll though the opportunity for the chance to gain new skills was rather tempting. He had a bit of a mental back and forth as he debated on just what he should do as Askalon watched curiously. He had seen the message, not sure who went by that name but nevertheless he would support Wyll. Reaching down, Wyll's hand hovered over the button before he made the rash decision to press it. As the button was pressed the tattoos burned, a small needle pricking his skin and drawing some blood into the console.

The liquid drained from the containers as the arms picked up the body parts, placing them on the table to form a bit of a body. Wyll jolted as the arms began to glow, sigils forming at their grabbers as they reached down, pushing the pieces together as the flesh began to meld and a glass box encased the table. A window opened up from Pan as there were three columns with several symbols on them. Suddenly they began to spin at a quick speed as the illustrations blurred together before each column stopped spinning.

The lab began to shake and rumble as the lights flickered. Bedlam grew scared, the very place he was made to protect and maintain felt as if it was ready to tear itself apart. The glass box filled with a green goo, sloshing over the body before encasing it as Wyll braced himself. The lab pulsed, groaning out as the lights steadied and the liquid withdrew. A human looking boy laid on the table, coated in the viscous goop. Bedlam sighed, shaking his head as it had seemed to be a failure.

Bedlam went to activate the fail protocol as the body suddenly gasped, eyes shooting wide as it spit up the slime. The boy held his stomach, puking up the slime as Wyll clutched his head, groaning and sweating as he struggled to stand. His instincts screamed at him to run but his body felt paralyzed as the boy blinked a few times, looking at himself curiously before locking eyes with Wyll who felt his body size up. He couldn't breathe, his heart stopped beating and his blood ran stagnant as the pressure the boy put off was debilitating. Wyll fought the urge to get sick as the box slowly pulled away, the boy shakily getting up from the table only to immediately crumple due to some sort of atrophy.

Wyll gasped, feeling the insane pressure slowly dissipate as he began to pant, sweat beading on his forehead as Askalon sighed, feeling it too. Wyll looked back to the pop up as it had three gemstone turtles as he gulped. Small fireworks go off from the window as Wyll reads the 'JACKPOT'. Several windows were opened behind the slots as he quickly dismissed the windows, slowly making his way to the boy laying on the ground. The overwhelming power that the boy gave off with just his presence was terrifying as Wyll looked to Bedlam.

["I uh- C-Congrats are in order? You managed to not only successfully make a Chimera but I have never seen anything like what has happened? I-I have never seen anything like this, y-you made a chimera but it's registering as something else completely! A-Avatar?"]

[[The Celestials of the Peak's Court are glaring at Wyll and the transgressions he has made. The Prisoners of the Abyss smile with glee at Wyll's actions. {101 Heads Touching Heaven} gives thanks to Wyll and bestows a blessing on the Chimera, acknowledging the Avatar to be true. Please name the Cimera, Avatar of {101 Heads Touching Heaven}]]

Askalon was shocked as Wyll slowly reached into his backpack, producing a blanket and wrapping the child in the blankets. Wyll looked at Askalon with a scrunched brow and a face of confusion as Askalon put his hands up, shaking his head as this wasn't his responsibility. Wyll sighed, rolling his eyes some as he slowly picked up the Chimera.

"Take solace, I am your maker kinda. I bestow upon you a name. Nep, Nep Amarok. You might not be my son but I acknowledge you as family seeing as my blood also runs through your veins."

The boy looked up at Wyll, reading over his lips curiously before nodding. The boy pulsed with mana, his eyes shimmering a bit as their color changed to match Wyll's.

"W-Wyll… Nep… Wyll is my big brother?"

Askalon and Wyll felt their hearts flutter as the innocent boy asked curiously as Wyll smiled lightly, gently setting Nep onto his feet. Nep struggled for a moment as Wyll offered him a hand, looking at Bedlam who had a face of shock. In the past the Chimera had been violent and ferocious but this was the first one to actually let their will be bent to another. Bedlam felt excitement as he saw a world of possibilities in the new head of Chimera R&D.

"Yes Nep, I am your big brother. We are family after all, I will do everything in my power to protect you and I hope you will do the same thing for me."

Wyll offered a small smile to Nep as he held his hand, deciding it would be best to get back to camp and bring the group here. This was Wyll's new base of operations and the next step was to establish a proper permanent camp. After that Wyll could make a way down to the lab, a proper one at least so he could put excess monster parts to use.
