2 - New Home

If any noble would be suddenly put in her situation they might be already wincing in complain. Or crying their hearts out.

But Persia Moon was not. She was raise to be the Mother of the Empire. Nothing can shake her now.

All the harsh training that she had endured was enough for her to be brave enough even though the lessons that she only learned was innteded for the Empress Lessons.

She can still learn anything though. Even how to cook or anything that a commoner would do.

She thank the young man who had helped her and hurriedly went inside. She carry the bread like cake and strode in her neighbors house before it gets dark.

She knocked at the door and the smiling figure of the husband and wife greeted her. She handed the cake and went back in her house.

She was in a hurry. She was not able to buy a lamp so she atleast have to settle things before dark.

It was a relief that there is a spare bucket left in the house that she use to gather water. She immidiately wipe the floor and let it dry before spreading the blanket in the floor.

She is already sweating from her hardwork.

Satisfied with the result of her hardwork she sat on the chair heavily panthing. She wipe her sweat from the soft fabric under her expensive clothe that she tore a while ago.

The sun is already sinking.

She began to tore the bread and eat.

"Ah if theres only hot chocolate" she mumbled.

After filling her stomach she lock all the windows and door.

She lay down at the mattress and use the other mattress to cover herself from the cold.

A lot of thought flooded her mind as she close her eyes.

She can remember the glare from the crowned prince eyes when he drank the wine that was intented for the countess. It was a relief that he is immune to poison or else he would really die.

And the maid betrayed her thats why.

But because of her possessive and obsessive love towards the prince that led her to do those drastic things especially to the countess who was always with the prince. Ofcourse she is jealous. And she wont let ayone near her man.

But now was the result of her love for him.

Alteast she is alive that was on her mind. She can start a new life her. Forget about the prince. And have her own family here.

A simple life? Its not bad.

But she is a woman who value much of her possesions. 'So goodluck to the person who will caught my heart'. She mentally said and befire drowsiness take over her.

..

The annoying sound from the roosters and loud thud sound coming from the axe that was breaking the woods into pieces awoken her.

She has no choice but to get up since she cant stay asleep anymore because of the noise.

She open the window while struggling to reach where the faint light was coming from afraid to fall or stumble.

When she finally open the window the fresh air greeted her nose and the cool breeze embraced her.

She now then went outside and was greeted by her neighbor.

"Good morning young lady"

"Good morning too" She warmly smiled. Did anyone greeted her so warmly like this before. She cant remember. The plain voices of the servants who greeted her every time was that she can remember.

"Come and join us for breakfast" The woman said enthusiastically.

She nodded since she was embarassed to refuse. She followed them as the woman prepare the breakfast and her husband was holding a kettle. He then poured the content in the wooden cups and a black liquid came out. She was curious what was it but kept her silence.

It seems that the couple was happy unlike her parents who was cold and wont even talk. She shrugged the memories and dont want to remember anymore.

"I will add cows milk in your coffee since you might not like the bitter taste" The husband said pouring the white liquid on it.

"Thank you" Persia was truly happy because of their consideration.

They began to share their breakfast. There was sweet potato and bread. She watched them as they pick the sweet potato and imitated the way they peel off.

She brought the sweet potato in her mouth and was mesmerized.

"Whats the matter is it not to your liking?" The woman asked worriedly.

"Its delicious honestly and its my first time tasting it what do you call this?" She asked as she took a bite more. It was sweet.

"Its sweet potato" The woman replied smiling.

"Sweet potato? You sweetened the potato?" She asked curiously eyeing the food.

The woman chuckled. "No its a root similar to potato but its sweet unlike potato. We only boiled it in a water and did not put any sweetenings"

"Oh thats.. amazing" she mumbled enjoying the food.

She then eyed the brown liquid in the cup. She took the cup but was warned by thr woman. "take care its hot"

She blew the liquid as if it would cool down and take a sip carefully.

It was weird. It was bitter but also sweet. She cant fill the curiousity and took another sip trying to battle which one stand out the most.

The couple only chuckled at the cute innocense of the young lady as they watch her.

"What do you call these?" Persia asked.

"Its called coffee"

'Coffee' she repeated in her mind trying to remember where she heard it before.

She can finally rember after contemplating. It was not famous in the nobles since they said it was bitter.

But now that the tastes it herself she cant help but to admire it instead.

She thank the couple after they finish their breakfast and go back in her house.

She has still a lot of things to do. She pick up a long stick on her way home and wrap some of the fabric on its tip.

She used it to remove the spiderweb in the ceiling. She was resourceful since she made it herself and was similar to the one that the servants in their mansion were using.

Persia notice the muscle pains but only complained in her mind and continue to clean the house. She was sneezing a lot last night because of the dusts.

After several hours of cleaning the room, she is finally finished and was sweating a lot. It was indeed a lot of work to do.

She satdown to rest and not long after someone suddenly knock at her door. Since it was open she saw a young lady who seems the same age as her standing there and smiling at her.

"Hi".
